Well, among other things, I'm also a hypocrite. :D I emailed CRK to get a price quote but admittedly, did ask if the Idaho Made could be left off or relocated.

did they tell you it could be left off? that'd be the only way I'd buy a brand new Sebenza I'd say.

I think it is a major turn-off for me and will think twice before buying another CRK. Sorry, my money, my rules.

Larger pic!

I don't think it looks too bad in the context of the whole knife. The first close up shot was a bit shocking though!!

I'll probably find out Monday.

I want rain drop damascus, ebony inlays, dual silver thumb lugs... Now imagine all that beauty with a big ole IDAHO MADE

I-DA-HO

Oh my:eek:

Sebbies look best with nothing on the blade or scales. The MM's looked OK, but not this.

I'm Glad I Only Like Classic 2000

Now Everybody Going To Start Wanting Them

It would have been far better were it a small, discreet stamp on the ricasso reading: 'Idaho, USA'.

Apart from the placement 'Idaho Made' doesn't make sense to me. It's grammatically suspect.

'Made in Idaho, USA' would be far more elegant IMO. Or simply 'Idaho, USA'.

In any event I think its high time CRK re-introduced the original Large Regular Seb. Isnt there an anniversary coming up or something? :D

Well, there is always my birthday...

I think it looks just fine, and being the designer and maker he's obviously welcome to do whatever he sees fit to them. Some folks clearly don't like change but I'd guess any negative effect it may have on sales will be fleeting. They make pretty much the best knives you can buy in my opinion.
