If SHTF...

HG-55
Scrapmax 460
Light weight AR with a 1-6 optic
Glock 19
Suppressors and lights for both guns.

I know this is cheating but I don't count it as a knife....not leaving in an shtf situation with out my RMJ shrike.

Some good combo's here.

Since it's just for transport to the bug out location it's different than if it was to walk the earth like Cain from King Fu.

1) Already in pocket, large Sebenza 21
2) toss up between NMSFNO and RMJ Shrike, leaning towards shrike since security would be of more importance than utility and it's not a long trip.
3) PWS Diablo, 7 inch barreled piston driven AR "pistol"- ultra reliable, light weight, sling able, with d-60 drum mag. Would be a Glock 23 otherwise.
4) PWS MK214 AR10 pattern .308. Ultra reliable, piston driven sub moa tack driver with Barnes Vortex TTSP ammo in 20 round Pmags. It's good for both close up and out to 600 yards.

The rest of the stuff that's make this decision harder would already be at said location but I'd still have to make a couple trips if possible to bring up the rest of the gear.
At least there's 4 green houses, 3 large farmed fields, food, ammo, and a building heated by wood that has solar power waiting when I get there👍

Great thread.

1) kabar combat kukri
2) crkt sakimori
3) cz 75 sp-01 in 9mm (18+1 so nice high capacity, super accurate and very reliable)
4) AR15 with aimpoint red dot + flip over 3x magnifier

If I remember correctly, I essentially posted in the apocalypse thread what I would really have with me at the point I decided to bug. I may be wrong though. In reality, I would probably have my converted Saiga 7.62x39 as my rifle, the BCM BFH for my wife, and a my daughter would have a BCM ultra ltwt that I have built up. The BCM's have Aimpoints (H1 for the ltwt), the Saiga is iron. Daughter likely Jackmandu and a Vic Soldier as a minimum. Ruger .22 pistol. Big knife for the wife would be problematic. She's into knives like most people are into hammers. Her knife is a Buck Vanguard from long ago, BG42 blade. Unbelievable blade. I gave it to her for her backpacking knife, and have envied it ever since. That's probably all she'd take, unless she took a Benchmade Grip I got her long ago. The pistol is easy: Kahr K9. She's scary accurate with that, and I'd probably rather have her shooting at me with the AR than the Kahr. My knives would be what I said before, as would be my sidearm. Would love to take my .357, but I don't have the reloading components for it like I do the .44. It's ammo is heavier, but I can do more with it. Sorry, kinda rambling. But the earlier post about the family outfit got me thinking.

In reality, we are members of a local farm coop, and pretty good friends with the farmer. I would, in all likelihood, try to bug to there. He knows his stuff on year round farming. I'd likely try to trade out security service for his farm for food as wages, and hire as hunter of anything that might be around for long term meat.

No. I haven't thought about this a lot. Why do you ask?

Blades
KDSH Tomahawk – Perfect for getting out of town without worrying about obstacles getting in the way. Chops through just about anything and can pry my way out of a bind.
LE CABS – Tough as nails but small and handy. Perfect companion.

Long Rifle
Kimber Mountain Ascent 300WM – Currently my only rifle so the choice is easy. Depending on the threat, could use the rifle to clear ‘obstacles’ at range before moving.

Handgun
An Aussie can keep dreaming…

Ratweiler
Gerber DMF Tanto
American Classic Trophy(sadly it shoots better and more reliable than my Colt M45A1)
Home built AR15 pistol. It has plenty of range and maintains a small package

Survive 5.1
RMJ\Bawidmann Ragnarok tomahawk
USP Compact 9mm
Arsenal SAM7

Esee Junglas, Battlehorse knives scout platoon, Daniel Defense v11 m4, Glock 19. There's several knives I could choose from. Could also maybe grab my gransfors Bruks small forest axe and my mora bushcraft black or esee 6. Any two blade combo of those would do well for me.

I got a RMJ shrike coming tomorrow thanks to a member here I bought it from. I think I'll be adding that to my kit.

It's hard to comprehend why so many continue to stay in the city when they suspect they will have to flee to the country when things get bad?
Most city folks can't hack it out here in the country in good times now, not sure how well it will play out for them in worse times where we are even more guarded against strangers on our doorsteps... better to make the change now before it's too late than after, it ain't that hard, it just takes doing. ;)

Anyhow knives for this exercise:
Meaner HACK (or at the last minute might be situationally swapped out for either HG55 or Basic 9)
BB13 INFI post delivery, but B9 and/or Butaniku right now depending on wishful plans vs first contact judgment call.
Rifle: SLR-104 or VEPR 5.45, whichever is closer to me and the ammo can at the time
Pistol: FNP-45T

I'm more a believer of Bugging In rather than taking up with every other guy on the street and competing for space, food and shelter. But, for sake of the excercise-

B11 or B13 if it's delivered by then
SOB or RMD, whichever happens to be in the truck at the time
Glock 19
Armalite AR10,

I think between all of that, my bases would be covered. The AR10 has enough power to do bad things to people at distance, and to make someone in a vehicle have a very bad day at distance- though it and the 25 round mags weigh a lot (Though, in my head it'll be in the truck so....). the Glock is light as all get out for having as much capacity as it does, and is one of my EDC pistols. Reliable and high mag cap, in a NATO caliber. The Basics would obviously be choppers, but also good camp knives, and the SOB or RMD are both handy as all get out for small knife tasks.

I already live out in the stick s. I would just pick up my guitar.:-)

but you realize you left your guitar in your friends home...IN THE CITY!!! you gotta go get it... what are your weapons?

I got more guitars than weapons. Is far more likely to find me without a weapon than without a guitar.
