If you could only have 1 folding knife...

For my needs I have found my blue delica has been living in my pocket more than any other knife in my collection. I don't have a large grip which has been mentioned a few times (it's on my list) but it's beat out my mini grip. Also had to add that the cold steel Finn wolf has been impressive as well and seems to get no love . Close second but honestly I'm not sure if it's relataed to it being relatively new to me or if it's really that good. I guess time will tell. In the end after a lot of words blue delica. Lol

Of the ones I own, the GB1 or 940-1 would be my choice.

I have a feeling I'd choose the Reate Horizon D, but it's not here yet, so I shouldn't get ahead of myself. As it stands... Reate Wave for practicality, but for some reason if I only get ONE knife I'm inclined to choose something larger. Maybe my trusty 0562?

Hey BF,

Title says it all. If you could only have 1 folder for the next year or 2... what would it be?

BUCK 110 if I still used folding knives.

BUCK '55' would be my second choice.

(I only use fixed blade knives now. I have been carrying a BUCK 113 Ranger Skinner Knife for an EDC knife since I got it and that has been for over one year now if not a couple of years. I do not remember the exact date now. Sorry.)

The most expensive knife so I can sell it and but other knives.

Kinda a difficult question to answer because if I had one knife on a desert island would be different from an office knife or EDC blade. Also is price a consideration. Because who would rather have a spyderco over a shiro if price was no obect?

I thought this post was very interesting and worth responding to.

I see your point, but I would take my MK4 Dauntless over more expensive knives like Shiros, etc. It comes down to design, and that is price neutral. The MK4 Dauntless (in the CF/hollow ground special edition) is the best designed knife I've ever owned, no question, and I've had customs from some of the best makers working right now as well as some who are long gone. As a collectible or heirloom piece, that's one thing. And as a pure tool for a certain setting, that is another thing. But I really approached this thread as kind of what is the Platonic ideal of a knife for me. And even my favorite Shiro doesn't hold a candle to the Dauntless MK4 in that respect, at least for me.
