If you could only have ONE GEC, which would it be?

Don't have it yet, but a Big Moose in stag is next on my list! $145...ouch.

Interesting idea for a thread! I like the variety of everyone's picks. If I could only have one GEC, it would definitely be this #15 Farm Boy.

Can we add our choice of 'which would we have if we could only have one regardless if we have it yet'?

Obviously it would be the next one. I have pruned my collection of GECs down to 18 must keep. But to be honest i really only carry one or two of them, the rest i just enjoy having.
The one i mostly carry is a #18 Cola jig bone Beagle.

Actually I only own one now if you don't count the 2014 forum knife
A #25EO in stag, I love the size and general quality but it lacks a piercing point and that is why I don't carry it a lot anymore
Here is new

This one is from 2009 and at that time GEC's grinds weren't so thin so I had to regrind it a couple of times

If I could pic any GEC I think my lost courthouse whittler in ebony would be my one GEC

I think I would need to go with this one. The one that can do it all.

Great thread. Thanks for starting it. I'd go with my TC #15 Single Clip with Walnut (Gunstock) Handles. The quality is second to none, and it's been put to all manner of uses and never found wanting. And it looks and feels great to boot. If I knew how to post a photo on this forum, I'd post one of the knife in question. ...

Beautiful sunfish. I think that is my favorite GEC pattern. I'll never own one of course, discontinued and way out of my price range.

My choice would be my 77 Forum Knife. It is a great size, fantastic craftsmanship, a beautiful looker, & always brings me good memories of many great people on this forum:

For me it would be a #48 single bladed clip in stainless. Doesn't exist though so I'll have to continue owning multiples. :D

Torn between a two blade EO 85 and the two blade 77 barlow with clip and wharnie. If only they would do an 85 with a full size wharnie secondary to go with the big spear blade.

Out of the GEC knives I've got now it would be my #16 Canoe. However I currently have a #38 Grinling whittler in Che Chen Rosewood in the mail heading my way and im pretty sure it's going to be taking it's place real fast lol.:D

Yeah, it was pretty costly even back then. I sold this one until I traded it back this year. Some journey!
