If you had $450 (make that $600), what would you get?

When CRK switches over to MagnaCut, I would get a Mnandi in some beautiful covers. If they switch the Mnandi over to the detentball lock interface, wich they did on the 31, I might reconsider though..
 
Well , here it is Wednesday morning. And I was gonna pull the trigger on a Spyderco and CS because I can’t find any new Large Sebenzas or Large Inkosi’s at any dealers. But I just really want a new CRK so I’m gonna be patient and keep checking in with my favorite dealers numerous times per day , everyday until I see what I want.

I got an email from DLT yesterday and they just got in a load of small Sebenzas. So maybe CRK will start shipping large ones soon.

Yea got the email too. Only thing they really got is the high end stuff with Damascus etc. I’m not even wanting a CRK but would pick the right one up for trade bait. When they start making a flipper I’ll get around to owning one

I go through phases. Sometimes I’ll want big , heavy pocket brick-type knives then I’ll want automatics and then I’ll want all blacked out and then I’ll want something high end. So right now , I can’t get CRK of my mind. And it’s all fun to find what I want and buy it.
 
I read that CRK plans to increase their price by $50 so yes - if we go with the current price of large Sebenza 31 with inlays at $550, that will make the new price at $600. The thing is that you need to patiently wait as it appears they are OOS everywhere.

A member her messaged me that a certain dealer had a couple Large 31’s in stock with inlays. But I was too late and missed the boat. So the hunt continues. Waiting is such sweet agony.
 
I have a large 31 Sebenza with black micarta on order direct from CRK, double lugs. Placed summer last year and will probably ship end of this year. By the time it arrives it'll be with S45VN, and with their new glass blast finish on the handle hits right at 600.

CRK ships small numbers of all models to different dealers every month. You can call them and tell them what you want and they can tell you which dealers will be getting them this month.

I had one from DLT , there were a lot of things I liked about it but some of the edges were sharp enough for me to return it after a week. That is the only return I've ever had. I liked it, wanted to keep it even, but didn't need to struggle that much with a folder.

I've been looking at the Proxima for a while. Maybe one day...
 
If you want a Sebenza, then you should wait & get a Sebenza when they become available. If that's what you have in your head, then you won't be satisfied if you get something else. Even if you get a CRK & don't like it, you'll be able to unload it easily enough, but at least you'll have that itch scratched.

As far as inlays go, I have an Inkozi with the old style black micarta inlays & like the looks better than the new 31 inlays. I guess I'm just so used to seeing the old style for years that the new ones will take some getting used to. Still, I'm just kinda partial to the plain Janes, or even better yet, the Wilsons.

I love the Wilson design. This pic ^ is truly drool worthy. And yes , I’m definitely holding out for a new Large Sebenza31 or Large Inkosi.
