If you had $450 (make that $600), what would you get?

As I have recently moved from a CRK fixation and am becoming a Hinderer fan I was faced with that conundrum just last week and bought an Eklipse. I would say since you are not a flipper fan I would bypass the Hinderer as I didnt care for the non-flipper I tried and hunt down the illusive ‘Zaan ( you can save the extra cash needed while looking for one)

Framelock non-flippers? CRK should be among your top choices. I'd up my budget to $550-$600 to get a new large 21 or 31 with inlays. Hinderer XM-18 3.5" NF is another choice though you'll have to patiently wait or pay $50 more for a LNIB one in the secondary market.

So, contrary to what several people said here, I think $450 is actually a tricky upper limit.

Don't want to be a bad news but
I think it will be hard to find new large sebenza at any retailer yet !
For given 450
Sorry

It's literally listed on their website for $450

Tough decision... When I read your initial post I was thinking Umnumzaan since you like larger ti framelocks without flippers. After reading 4 pages I still think Umnumzaan. That's one knife that I really wish I still had. It's one of those knives that just works about perfect. It's a beefy folder but at the same time has a nice cutting geometry and still slices very well. Honestly I like almost everything about it which is rare. If I had to change one thing it would be the little tab deal that sticks out on the actual framelock where your pointer and middle finger rest when holding it. It sticks out and creates a small hotspot just a little more than my liking. But that's literally the only nitpick I have on the design.
