If you had $650 USD to spend on a new knife…

At the start of the thread, I said this
I'm not sure I could find another folder I'm willing to buy. I'm stuck in a Just Say No phase
I hadn't purchased a folder since spring 2021. Last month, I came across a knife I've kicked myself for years for not buying when I had a chance - a Buck 112 Ecolite. Inexpensive folder, no big deal...and I really like it.

Then this...
I'm not sure what happened - I got in a mood, started looking & found a Zinker that I liked. Then I found some Curtiss F3s in stock. I waited...and a couple days later, this happened (not my picture).

I think lack of sleep and lack of alcohol have affected my judgement
Expensive, but I like it a lot more than I expected; so no regerts...and no thoughts about another knife.

Then I saw a knife I've wanted for a few years. Available. In a configuration I like. I shook it off. After all, I just spent a bunch of money on that CRK; and I've been enjoying carrying & using it. Besides, I've been carrying a sub 3" folder for the past year and a half & that thing is BIG. Bigger than I would have gone for when I was regularly carrying a 4" folder.

Bought it this morning, before bed (not my picture, again)

I could understand if these were late night, sleep deprived, alcohol fueled purchases; but they weren't. They were stone sober and well considered (if a bit impulsive)

el gigantor el gigantor I blame you!!

*yes, I meant no regerts
**edited to add: ChazzyP ChazzyP Thanks for all your help

Ha! This made my day, and I'll take credit for it all day long. Enjoy my friend!

The incoming is actually $10 over the limit of the thread (I wanted scales on both sides, vs the typical titanium slab)...but, after years of waiting, I went with what I wanted. I'll only cover the $650 when I pay that credit card. (I haven't left a balance in years; but the interest on $10 won't kill me)

I'm glad I don't drink the water near you I would be homeless. Two great purchases; especially enjoy the voron/raven.

Updating my previous response.

I would have gone with a Strider(Medford).75 AR from DLT. But they sold out before I knew what was going on. Next time.

Umnumzaan

I buy/sell a lot of high dollar knives and it takes a lot for something to stick around. Shiros are sweet and Hinderers appealing, but the Umnum has stayed in pocket for over a year now (and skinned/quartered a mulie last fall on the mountain). Close second would be a large Sebenza.

Fair warning though, the Umnumzaan takes some getting used to for deployment angle and disengagement of the lock bar. Both are no issue once you get used to her though.

If I had $60 to spend?

Maybe not all on one knife . . .A CRK folder probably. Maybe I'd option it up to the $650.

And yet, knife lover that I am . . .I might actually put that money on an antique brass photographic lens instead.
