If you had to pick one knife to carry forever...

My thought mirror the few who would carry a fixed blade cept gimme my volcano.

My heart says a Stretch in VG-10 but my brain says I need a Pacific Salt for size and corrosion resistance. I live on the S. Texas coast and salt water/ air is a fact of life.

Meh, I live there too, and it's not a problem. Plus VG-10 is very corrosion resistant. Just wipe it down with the oil of your choice once in a while and it won't be a problem. That being said, nothing wrong with the Spydie, and it won't rust ever.

I live 50 meters away from the beach. No rust issues with VG-10 at all and I barely wipe down after use.

Benchmade 720, been carrying it for quite a long time now. I'm worried that if I lose it I won't be able to find a new old stock replacement!

Custom XM-18 any blade grind. Handle has incredible ergos. Hollow ground blade for ease of sharpening. Robust design for heavy cutting. Can handle wrist flicks only a heavy duty folder can. Can remove the blade or adjust pivot tension with only my thumbnail.

For me a work of art, & the best folder ever made! Gen 1 SOG TomCat

Leatherman Surge, SOG Powerlock, Victorinox Swisstool, or Gerber MP600. With their respective bit kits.

My knives are tools.

Funny but I've never done that yet with any of the other things I am passionate about such as watches or shoes and boots. Too this point and since I just started a few months ago and five knives later it appears it won't be happening with knives either. If one is passionate one tends to appreciate the little differences or nuances and it appears this maybe happening when it comes to knives as well.
