If you had to pick one Victorinox, which one would it be?

Fun old thread to look through. Before the first of the year I'd have picked the Electrician, but now I think it would be the 7 (formerly Harvester). The saw is a very useful addition for being in the outdoors and the pruning blade has proven to he something I really like a lot. I dare even say it's a better package opener than the sheepsfoot blade on the electrician.

Trekker. Has everything for field and urban without being too bulky and heavy. Soldier is a very very close runner up and except for no corkscrew has everything I want for urban tasks.

Past me said Victorinox Classic, perhaps because it was my daily companion then, but since I have replaced it with something else I’d have to disagree with myself now.

Today it would have to be either my beloved 84 soldier:

Or the almighty, so useful, the one that survied all the purges, the SwissChamp:

Somehow I missed this thread and just got caught up. Very interesting to read about folks choice and why. My first pocket knife was an SAK my Dad bought me when I was 8 years old or so. I carried the Recruit off and on for at least 10 years. Then my wife bought me a Rambler. That one rides in my left front pocket, always. I like the scissors. I have 2 silver Pioneers. One I keep in the truck and the other is my pocket carry. Very handy, stout and sharp. I am no way a handy person with tools, but this has been very nice to keep around for those little fix'em ups. I recently got a Sportsman. My wife has one. I wanted to try it out and I really like it. When I travel with our church group, I mail ahead a Classic to the hotel. My travel companions all laugh at this, but guess who comes to me needing something cut. So, bottom line. If I HAD to pick ONE, (shudder the thought) it would have to be the Pioneer. I'd like to pick up a red one sometime because I just think SAK's should be red.

Less is more. Just the knife.

And I base it on that I THINK I had some multier tool than I have now. Well, I have now one quite amazing Virctorinox. Some stains sure. No broken or lost parts.

I rock a Champ in sapphire blue on those multi-day trips (currently parked in my Oh $#¡+ bag), and a Hunter XT is in the EDC rotation.

I saw a response I made back in 2020 saying the Ambassador or Executive (74mm) and that remains true along with the other comments I made about other SAKS I own and love.
