I if push came to shove I can live with those dimples if they were DC. But what in the world are those deep vertical grind marks? Those things are typically deeper than the dimples and a real pain to remove.

They are Beauty Marks!!

If there is CBT, this finish is invaluable for people that don't want a coated blade.

Even without CBT it's great for people who don't have the time or the skill to do a convex edge.
