If you were forced to use a folder for fixed blade jobs, what would you trust?

I love my paramilitary 2s. Of any knife I own they get the most use and pocket time by far. But what if I was forced into a situation in which I had to use my folder as a survival knife? Would my beloved PM2 stand up to the task? In my opinion, absolutely not. Its that delicate (and in my opinion excellent) tip that would probably be the knife's undoing. The role of an edc pocket knife and a survival knife are completely different. That said, I know that no folder in existence can completely do a fixed blade's job, but what if you had nothing else? Which folder would you trust most?
I'd really appreciate some feedback. Have a good one. -Blu

Right now of the ones I currently own, it would land on the ZT 0550. Second place gets the Spyderco Manix2, and only because of the thinner tip.

How much is your budget?

What's the minimum and maximum blade length?

Something with a triad lock, like Klok said. There have been testimonials on this forum of people who have pretty much used their Rajah 2 as a fixed blade with no problems at all, so that seems like a safe bet to me.

For me it would have to be my ZT0560 just love that ELMAX steel and sharp it gets and stays.

Out of knives I own my Spyderco GB, if I was to get a new knife I'd go for a DPx HEST/F mil spec in Sleipner.

It's kinda cheating, but thats what i made it for. Been carrying it for a week now and other than being a little thick (blade is .220" D2) its great.

No lock, no problem.

ZT-0350 for me.
He is really overbuilt.
The flipper offer a sure guard to the fingers, the liner lock is very good, the jimpings contribute to make the grip even better and it works fine even with a reverse grip.

Of what I own, strider sng, hogue ex-01, cold steel recon1

Zero Tolerance 550 all the way

Out of my collection, GB and 0550.

Like you said, PM2 wouldnt be the top choice but its surprisingly tough.

Probably a Svord Peasant. Takes an good edge, holds it well and like the awesome friction folder clutchjunkie has it's basically a folding fixed blade with a thinner tang. There isn't much to break on it and the blade functions perfectly well without the handle scales. Although I would want to give the edge a regrind before it went into the survival bag.
