If you were to start over what would you get?

Moderate to Light Work/Backpacking Knife - CRK Small Sebenza. I wouldn't argue with a large, but I'm an old ultra light packer and I've always gotten by fine with the small.
EDC - CRK Small Sebenza Insingo - Easy carry, legal everywhere I go, plenty tough for anything I'd throw at it, which is mostly slicing and cutting.
Dress - CRK Small Sebenza; Cocobolo Inlays; Raindrop Damascus blade, or
- CRK Mnandi; Box Elder Inlays; Raindrop Damascus Blade. One of these will be my next purchase. Currently leaning toward the Sebenza.

You can probably tell I'm a huge CRK fan. I have used my small sebenza hard for 10 years and I'm amazed at how well it has held up and how solid it still locks up. I'm sure there are other great brands, but Since I've had such a great experience with mine it seems foolish to risk my hard earned cash on anything else.

Good thread for me as I pretty much have had to start over. I sold off my previous collection, that included several nice customs and some higher end productions, to pay off my hospital bills from a spinal stroke I suffered this past July. Hated to do it, but I hated those bills hanging over me even worse!:)

Due to some neuropathy in the tips of my fingers i needed to get flippers because I could not use a thumb studded knife. I ended up starting my "new" collection with 5 ZT flippers, a BM Bone Collector w/thumb hole, and a Hogue EX-02 flipper. The ZT's and Bone Collector are knives I've had before or at least had faith in ( the ZT0561 was not a knife I had before), while the Hogue was something I had never had. I will continue with flippers, as long as they meet my requirements of being built hefty. The ZT0600 is a flipper I can't wait to get and am planning for two if available.

I do plan on taking my time in picking up any more knives. I am finding myself doing more research before buying a particular knife, and am beginning to get more satisfaction with the knives I do buy. Guess you could say that the "hunt is as satisfying as the end result".:)

For edc options,

1. Case Peanut
2. #7 Opinel
3. Izula or similar sized fixed blade.

Yeah, that sounds about what I'd go with. If I were doing it all over I would never have wasted time and money collecting Randall's and other customs. They wern't worth it. Maybe I'd have a few SAK's.
