I'm getting fed up with D.j. Urbanovsky American Kami

Just to keep this up for those who were ripped off, I too am down money, in this case $850.
I took a little different way of getting there but ended up in Ripoffville just like so many of you.

I'm a late comer to knives. Never really been my thing although I've always had one on/near me for any thing that might pop up like opening mail, a package or most importantly, cutting up some dried sausage to eat with some mozzarella and bread. My first "tactical" knife was a Benchmade version of an Emerson.

On another site I frequent, I knew DJ was a member and I would look at his wares from time to time. Then one day, he announced a new mid-tech folder with all sorts of blade options and finishes. Since a bunch of guys were ordering, I figured why not, I'll help a brother out with some business. Mine was $850 which yes, I did pay in full up front only because so many guys knew him. I'm a custom bolt action rifle and 1911 guy and I have never paid more than a deposit for multiple thousand dollar guns but again, I figured I'd help get these new folders rolling plus I was excited that it would be my first custom knife ( a mid tech I understand but more "custom" than my Benchmade.)

Long story short, it's been over six years and nothing. After the myriad of excuses, he bailed out of his own FB page. It's dead except for a couple of sycophants who rear their head from time to time to tell us to chill out. Those here that know me realize I am not the kind of guy to take this. NOBODY steals from me. What is also a little surprising is I also talked to DJ about some family issues way back when that he needed some advice on. Given he knows what I do for a living, it makes me wonder what he is thinking by doubling down on the stupid. This isn't over.

In the mean time, I'm digging knives now. Direware, Shiro , Crusader Forge and Hoback are my guys.

6 years is a long time to wait

If you where scammed and ripped off by DJ Urbanovsky (American Kami), please share your nightmare stories of how DJ stole your money so that hopefully others won’t get ripped off as well. He is still out there running his scams and stealing peoples money. I was ripped off for $1000 which I gave him over 10 years ago for a custom t-hawk. He has been lying to me and giving me the run around all this time and stopped communicating with me over two years ago now. I’m hoping that all the people that he stole money from will start some sort of law suit as he has broken federal and state laws and deserves to be in prison for 10 years... and he will be if people go after him. I want my $1000 back and for DJ Urbanovsky to go to prison. He has ripped off and stolen from way too many folks to be freely walking the streets. The lies that he tells to people make him a very evil person who should be languishing prison for 10 years.

10 years you might as well call that money gone, that’s a long time to be waiting for a order. Sorry for your loss

Wow. Just read the plea for help. The guy has the brassiest of brassiest stones on the planet!!! He could have built two customs in all the time he spent crafting the "fundraising" letter. Or maybe he outsourced the letter as well. Wonder what that set him back! Lols.

So, finally, we get to the “ask”: Please help me by donating money to me directly via Paypal Friends & Family...

also don't miss the part where he throws in his military service..

Well, I'm new here and this is my first post. I am not surprised, DJ showed up on Professional Soldiers.com circa 2014 I believe. Lots of wild stories about super secret guys on super secret missions using his knives. A lot of the guys there swallowed his stories and his BS. I called him out and took a lot of heat on the site. He is now what he was then, a POS.
