Impulse buys? Who's guilty?

That’s no impulse, dude, that’s a genuine emergency. If you don’t mind my asking, how did such an unthinkable condition come to happen? (I ask only for the educational value to your fellow forum members.)

It's stupidly hot here, well into the 110s, and I wore the lightest, coolest shorts I could. Couldn't really carry one of my regular knives, so I laid out a Native 5, then in the process of getting the car started and AC at full blast, left without it. We were doing a last-minute birthday present run for a party our daughter was invited to, so I'm walking around a few different toy stores with my hands in my pocket cursing myself until, rounding the corner, there's a knife shop! Prices were a little on the high side, actual full MSRP, but an emergency is an emergency...

I see. Well, I guess that underlines the hidden danger of birthday parties. At my age, I avoid them at every opportunity. Luckily, sounds like like you got re-knifed before the present-opening stage...

I told myself I’m only buying one per month this year (surprisingly have stuck to it)
That’s turned out to be a good way to keep from impulse buys. There’s a lot out there I’d like to try out, and it gives me time to decide what’s next.

I have the same rule, it's just that I am seven months ahead. And that is not counting four SAKs.
At the same time, I sold a few, so it's not all bad. :)

FOMO got me yesterday on the TRM atom drop. Ive been looking for an exclusive Shaman, and along came the TRM drop and wham. Oh well, theres always next week. 🤣

Of course I've bought on impulse. Usually it's worth it, although once in a while it's not. Just impulse ordered a Civivi Kepler, looks like a cool little fixed blade with a nice sheath, so hopefully it won't disappoint.

Was reading Tinfoil Hat Timmy’s post requesting birthday gift suggestions and saw the DLT Trading SAK Rambler Fonedork suggested...well, just had to hop on over to DLT and order one👍😁
