Inexpensive knives that you have liked

I've had good luck with outdoor edge.

Same here, I've had two outdoor edge folders, the first one was when I was twelve, and for some reason that I don't remember, I decided to bury the knife three feet under in my backyard, it wasn't the only one, I believe I buried around 4 or 5 more knives along with it, I have no clue why I did, the second one I bought around a month ago, 20 bucks, the Outdoor Edge Grip Lite, its been my EDC since then, right now i'm working on getting a mirror polish on the whole blade, a lot more difficult than I thought :(

If you dig traditional folders, Rough Rider makes a heck of a slipjoint, pocketknife, for under 10-15 bucks. I really like modifying, as well as sharpening Opinels, they can get insanely sharp without the utmost amount of effort.

I absolutely love the Schrade CH7 simply because of the quick-disconnect lanyard. You will never lose this knife.
The lanyard on this is so much better than a clip in my opinion. I carried this knife from age ~10 to 26.

I'm afraid I've got no original contribution to this thread. My favourite budget knives are Opinels (#8 in carbon steel), SAKs, Moras and other Scandi knives, Case CV knives with yellow synthetic handles, a couple of Cold Steel models (like the Bushman and Tuff Lite), Svord and so on. SAKs are the ones I use the most, I always have one in my pocket.

Hands down the CRKT ripple I got on clearance at my local walmart for 22$ Loved that knife kinda regret trading it:(

Caddie slicer.

I paid less than $25 and it never fail, never chips, and super thin.

im perplexed as to why they don't make larger models other than a small slicer.

guess what??
"the quick-disconnect lanyard" thingy which clips on to knife,
well,
it broke on mine.
lost the knife without ever realizing it had decided to hike off into the wilderness on it's own..
it was a nice folder for the short while i had it.

but where is my manners?
luckily, i still have one more that i had liked but no longer carry.
op,
this knife happen to be one of the "inexpensive knives that i have liked".
and it's the dicey British Army knife

Opinel Carbone No's 6-9, Mora classics, Rough Rider slip joints, old USA schrades ( just picked up a 90's stockman for $10) Victorinox Spartan or Camper, US army demo knife, TL-29, any old Colonial slipjoint, Svord Peasants. Leatherman micra, I picked one up for $5.

I think the Cliphangers get a bad rap. Dont get me wrong they arent the greatest ever but they are pretty dang good servicable knives

Most of my SAKs were under that limit, Buck Paklite 143 I got a while back which inspired me to try making handle scales for the first time, my Mora, CRKT Folts Minimalist and RSK Mk5--I like small fixed blades, my 14" Tramontina--okay, it's a machete, not a knife, but it cost well under $25 and it gets used a LOT. Shame on me for forgetting my AG Russell UPK. Ugh. Also forgot my Boker Keycom. I don't know if I have a thing for inexpensive knives or miniature knives or both.

I have to disagree with the MTech 151. Mine was cheap at $15 and looked and felt great out of the box, but snapped in half in just the first few minutes of carefully baton-ing firewood. Crap steel. YMMV, but it's not a good user knife in my experience.

Bump up to around $35-$40 and you are looking at much better user outdoor knife options. KaBar USMC, Ontario SP1.
