That's what I was thinking. On paper the handles are almost identical in length and the blade is about 0.25 inch shorter. The 4.1 is SLIGHTLY shorter in length and height and thickness. Different (less?) handle contouring. Aside from the 4.7, this has been and still is the one I'm looking forward to the most!
 
I saw that pic and wondered why I jumped on both the 4.1 and 4.7. Can't wait to try them out side by side once they arrive, thanks to the recent responses.

I am thinking maybe the 4.7 will be more heavier duty than the 4.1, mainly for camping or survival where you will require it to do more whereas the 4.1 will be a better hiking knife for lighter duties?
 
Well I missed out on a 4.1 so if anyone bought multiples and wants to hook me up that would make my day!

Not sure......... Monday sales are supposed to be in the hands of customers in a matter of weeks and starter orders from 2015 (IMHO) should keep taking priority, so I'd guess the limited preSALE will come after. Does that sound right?
 
I doubt they're priority. From the sound of things the S!K crew seems to put in a lot of hours, sometimes I wonder and worry that they'll get fried and burnt out. I like to think the side projects that come up like micro texturing, Cru Forge V, the GSO8 design, and these modded 4.1's are what keeps the fire in their bellies.
