Information from Instagram and Facebook!

Nathan is releasing a new model?

Seems so, he's calling it a "light chopper prototype with the new HT" on Facebook, so it's not quite production ready yet. I'm looking forward to reading about it, but saving my money on the GSO 8. :)

Very cool. I need to do some research.

GSO 8? Smart man!

Yes, the 8 will be "choppy" enough for my uses I think, and in combination with the 4.5 will be THE LAST KNIFE I BUY!!! EVER! (My Girlfriends capitalization...)

Oh wait... and the Survive! Folder! Yes, the folder!

Guy & Ellie really need to offer some kind of self-help program, or "opt out" like Casinos do... ;)

Indeed he is !
Where can we see this new chopper by Nathan ? Does he have a website ?

He's pretty active on this forum, and all the sales is in the exchange. He's got a FB page where he announces stuff ("Carothers Knives").

He hasn't posted any new pics that I know of, but I think it's probably the knife in this movie. Check out how it slices clean through that bottle... Crazy.

This is a bit OT, buy Nathan is dropping a chopper on Friday. (And I'm eagerly awaiting the kitchen knife I scored last week. But it's not 3v :-/)

Congrats on scoring his kitchen knife!! I'm still trying for one. I did grab a 3V field knife after having tried for a long time. And then on the heels of it I landed a second in black scales. Weird how that can work.

Thanks! And congrats on your field knives! One day I'm hoping of getting one too. Any comparison pics with the GSO 4.1 or 5?

I really wish I could snap you a comparison pic of those! Sadly, I've only got the GSO 3.5 at the moment, having sold my original 5.1 to fund the new version. Here's a comparison shot with an INFI RMD, it is roughly the size of a 5.1.

I'm working on a trade with someone for a swatmandu infi steel. He said he didn't like the original grind so he had busse re grind to 20 degrees, is that a big deal?

That would not be a big deal for me, Tinbanger. It is probably preferred, actually, for a user. If the regrind is well done and thinner behind the edge than factory, then that would make it a heck of a blade. Did Busse do the regrind in-house according to the seller, or did he have someone like Josh at REK do it?

Okay. I had one thinned that still wasn't thin enough for me, but if it is 20dps I'd say you're good to go. The ones I've seen sent to REK for a prescription grind get ground to the requested spec.
