I believe this is called 'the human condition'.![]()
That's pretty cool, and as stated you could make tools from the can if you had too. Anything in a survival situation would help.
There's an older video of Cody Lundin opening a can of tuna on a curb. It was for the local news there. Pretty cool, but I agree about being prepared.

I'm not a large proponent of carrying canned foods anyway
Yes, the only thing I'd pack is sardines and stuff. Cans can be. Just large and heavy. I'm more of a peanut butter, dry foods kinda guy.Cool... that's way better than dulling your knife
Depends on the food... I wouldn't bother carrying canned pork'n'beans around. I do keep a couple tins of tuna and/or kippers in my BOB. Pretty high ratio of calories/essential fats/protein to weight. (the foil packs are even better, weight-wise... but it's harder to make a cup or stove with 'em.)
Hey Griswold. Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?
Bend over and I'll show you.
Love that movie too![]()
I lived on MREs for over 45 days before getting a hot meal. No great, but they are not that bad really
