Full length tubes make fantastic (and free) tie-downs. Plus the rubber tends to "grip" whatever you're tying down, keeping it from shifting like it might with a regular web strap. Another thing that's usually free are S-hooks - I find broken rubber tie-down straps all the time and have a pretty good collection of road worn S-hooks going
 
Extra credit? Alright! There's a local place called The Scrap Exchange that has just about any kinda junk and leftover material you can imagine. There's a few barrels of all kinds of inner tubes for .50 each. Shops and manufacturers, labs, everybody donates stuff that's not quite trash. A lot of artists shop there. Fantastic place, should be one in every town. I think they're charity driven nonprofit as well.

Back on topic. A lot of great ideas there, many I hadn't and prob wouldn't have thought of. I'm trying to come up with odd and different uses as well so I prob won't have as many entries but I'll try to makem count.

GSOM, I also like the watch band keeper :thumbup:
If the boss will allow I will give some of my original ideas a try. Some of them need longer bands.
 
I guess I should have commented here, oops anyway this is going to be a lot harder than I thought not repeating any ideas :D
 
repeat them - you may have a different interpretation or different loadout of things to attach. :)

I think you should still post it....it's not just for awesome ideas. I posted the sling....I don't think I could make that work, but it's an idea, and maybe someone else can.
 
I will NOT use failures against you.... The idea may inspire somebody else to figure out a way to make it work.......

I am not in the competition, however, I love ranger bands. but I figured you guys would enjoy this. Made this coffee cup with a stick and some ranger bands on a trip awhile back! Still have it 👍

 
I need to update my post with something's that work, so I will add the failure then.
 
OK I updated my post on page 2
My fail was tiring to use cordage made from the band for a bow drill.
Might give it a go again.

That seems to be what most people are doing now, only problem is, now I keep going back to look through to see if anyone added some new pics! Haha
