Every time I look at this thread title, I think trade is sending me a check based on my initial investment in Tacklef*@% Forge Industries.
 
Well, I finally got some shit sorted out in my life, and now have the ability to attend much more than I thought I could. I set my limit at 4-5hrs of drive time from me, I'm in East Tenn, so, that leaves me available for some great areas.

I'm down. Moose+2 for each trip though. I gots ma gurls, too.

Being about 40 minutes north of Joplin, MO, I'd be interested.

Thrillbilly, I use to live in Harrison for a couple years. Never went as far East as Mt. Home, but heard it was gorgeous. Always wanted to check out the area, even know a couple fellows over there!
 
I am located in Beckley, WV, and we have a ton of things around here for hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, etc... Heck, you can't throw a rock around here without hitting some sort of outdoors activity place. ThePointyEnd lives about 45 minutes away, and Majormountaineer is here as well. We could get something stirred up these parts sometime pretty easily I do believe.
 
This is shaping up quite nicely. Will try to keep this on the first page long enough for everybody to see it, then start some serious planning.

I could probably get over pretty close to you if I have a couple weeks notice. There aint much in the middle between us, just Bootheel farmland.
 
Can you paddle from West Virginia to Missouri?
 
I am sure if you had enough Black & Tans you could make a valiant attempt at it.

I should go visit my dad -- see if he's got enough scrap metal laying around to make me a canoe rack for the Dakota -- he's got an old coleman canoe just laying around collecting dead leaves...
 
Unfortunately in S. Indiana we have little more than some trails, couple rivers(creeks really) and a couple crazy guys who drink a lot and molest steel. On the bright side, we don't turn away many.

next time I go visit my brother in kaintuck.....I may mosey up there, I think we figgered out it was an hour or so from his place to y'all.

Murph, you do have some good caves not to far from you. Brown County has a state park down there too I think, big forest lotsa trees ...8-)

Chances are I will somehow end up being stuffed into the trebuchet and launched in an attempt to save on airfare. That or I will get drunk and will willingly get on.
 
I'd be interested..........depending on location and alloted vacation time that I would need for it.
 
I'm over in Norman, OK right now, but I'm originally from Columbia, MO. I don't post around here much, but if I had some advance notice I'd definitely try to make it over to southern Missouri for one of these things.
