degams, email incoming. I have two Kershaws Vapors, two Byrds black Cara Caras and a Leatherman tool collected to send to you.

Do we have an update on prices for the Victorinox? I want to get this $$ committed before my wife notices it and wants to spend it on something foolish (like food, insurance, etc). If the Shoplite is the best deal, I will go forward next week.
Thanks.

http://www.islandtactical.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=26598&strVarSel=&strCompare= found them for $22.98 in volume. Will order tonight.
DONE: inbound. Will identify group to send it to at "anysoldier.com" UNLESS anyone has a combat unit in AFGHANISTAN id'd to send it to.

UPDATE: Island Tactical cancelled the order. They say they stopped carrying Victorinox (even though their site said they have 34 in stock). Maybe they just didn't want to honor the price! I'll begin search for them again tonight.

Blammo,

Play your foolish games elsewhere, not in this thread.
Stay out of this thread unless you wish to help out or you will be saying bye to us.
Same for SGT JIm.

Ned, let me know the model SAK that you are interested in sending over there. Email me and I am pretty darn sure I can find it for you at a better price than ShopLite.

I would be happy to put together a knife to donate to this cause. Giving to fellow servicemen/women will be a honor.

Is the address still good it is a bit old an update would be appreciated.

I'll touch Base with Brian and post as soon as I hear.

I just found out about this forum. This is the first post I saw, and I just want to say thanks for your generosity. The boys in 1/10 work a rough neighborhood and do a great job. Seeing this post really lifted my spirits.

Thanks for your demonstrated support for the men and women out here. It really means a lot! And thanks to the CSM's for all they do.

knowing a bit about the army..but not having any means of helping you...makes me wish you all the luck you need

by the way...what do you thinq about romanian soldiers?....Are them well equiped...well trained....or just smart...with great desire of winning?

Here is a portion of an email I recieved today and with Brian's permission, I post it here for your information:

Just for your information, I am leaving Iraq in a little over a week and headed to a new job. I will be taking over the US Army Training Center Command Sergeant Major position and basically over see Basic Combat Training throughout the army and will also be the Post CSM for Fort Jackson. It is a huge advance in responsibility and they want me down to Jackson soon. I will forward your email address to one of my battalion CSMs so you can stay in contact with him and who he awards the knives to.

Once again, thank you so much for all of your support for our Soldiers. These are GREAT knives and I know three lucky Soldiers will be extremely proud to carry and use them.

V/R,

Brian

I think I may speak for all in wishing Brian the upmost success in his new position and look forward to working with his replacement as much as we have had working with him.

This all about what makes this country good. I wish when I was an FMF Recon Corpsman in S.E. Asia we had this kind of support. I have some items I will send that will fit the bill. Nice effort by all. Just a note with you email for a chat helps. Most of the time mail was not there for us because we made short hops down from Thailand and returned to our main base until our next call up. I think I can dig up a couple of 7" A-2 Mission and a couple of Reeve blades.

Believe.... our Military is the best !

A few weeks ago I purchased a Buck Sirius all black
through Smokey Mountain Knife Works' "Knife for a
Soldier". I believe it is supposed to get to you.
Did you get it? Did you give it out? Is it acceptable
military carry?
