Interested in donating a knife to deserving Soldiers?

Would these troops find a use for a CRKT large size KISS knife? It's fixed tanto blade that I never found much use for. I wish I had something better to donate, but I'm still fairly green to knife collecting. I'd be willing to send that KISS knife if they could use it.

Just got this from Brian. As you can see he has a lot of catching up to do from his leave. With time I am sure he will follow up with all of us. I am going to stay out of his hair for a while until he gets settled in and I think it would be best for all of us to give him a little time.

Gus,
I am sorry for the late response but I just returned from leave with my family. The knives were here waiting on me when I returned and I must say….you did fantastic!!!! What a great package. Once I get my feet back on the ground I am going to sit down with my HQs 1SG and a few CSMs and work out the awarding of all of the knives I received. Please let everyone know that words can not express my thanks for all you have done or all they have contributed for my troops. You make us all feel proud of what we are doing and these knives will also aid them in their duties!!!

Sorry this is short but I have about 150 emails to address (this is the one problem with leaving for a few weeks), but I will do my best to stay in touch and keep you posted.

Thanks again,
Brian

That is excellent Gus:thumbup: I have been catching up on this thread again and may have to go back to my stash and see what else I have. I am also flush again and can send some cash if you are interested in getting another group buy going.

I'll do it again if there are enough folks interested.

Email me. (I'll be out of town starting Wednesday for a couple of weeks taking care of my mom.)

What I will do.
Order knives wholesale for those who wish to donate cash.
Mail the ordered knives and any knives sent to me to CSM Carlson.
Stay in touch each step of the way and forward notes from the CSM to all who participate.

I donated quite a bit last time (over 700) so I will leave it up to those who want to participate to see if we have enough to place an order.

Send them to Brian: (directly to Iraq)

Address removed since he is back home.

Email him and let him know they are on the way. He will be in touch from there letting you know where and with whom it ends up.

Just drop me an email, if you wish to help out.

No one ever gave me anything. Whrn I expended what I brought to the fight I took what I needed from the dead.

You guys are great!
I have a little extra $$ right now and want to donate either knives or cash to buy knives. When xxx (which company was it that just changed ownership last year? Camillus? No..., sorry can' remember... oldguy memory... Ah hah...Schrade!) I was able to buy 25 Boy Scout style pocket knives and pocket sharpening stones at a good price and send them to a USMC senior NCO in Afghanistan. Not flashy, but useful tools for EDC. It felt good for an old Trooper to do something for the active duty guys and gals.
So, if I can find another good deal for a volume buy of a sturdy general purpose pocket knife, I'll be happy to do it again. Few of these folks need fighting knives, but its always amazing how many times a GP knife with some basic tools will come in handy (maybe something like the Victorinox 'One Hand Trekker Swiss Army Lockblade Knife 54876', the old issue 'US' folders or electricians knives). That way we can get the most bang for the buck.
Let me request that we send these to some combat troops in Afghanistan (if we know a POC). Those folks don't seem to be on many folks radar anymore, but many of them are still going in harms way every day. If we don't have a Afghanistan POC, Iraq would be great, too!
Mr. Moderator, please let me know what we can do for about $200 and I'll either send a USPS MO wherever you tell me to, or place an order and mail them overseas myself.

This looks like a good deal:

Please let me know if there's a better deal somewhere else, but this looks pretty good.

I'll buy ten and you tell me where to send them. Or, I'll send them to the Moderator and he can distribute them...make that eleven, and I'll send one to my son, too...

OldNed,

Let me check some pricelists when I get home.

I will let you know if I can find a better price on them and where so you can place an order.

Gus

Bastid,
ShopLite has some knives in stock, and more inbound that could round out the order. Please let me know if I should order from them or if you have an alternate source?
Thanks.
