Introducing The 535 Bugout

I saw on Instagram the beautiful Rogue BW Blue Twill bugout covers, will have to pick some of those up!!
 
Very few knives have replaced my normal edc'ers, but the Bugout with Rogue's wonderful CF scales gets a lot of pocket time lately.
Great knife, and probably BKC's best new release since the HK AXIS and Foray.
 
For sure, its an awesome knife. Usually after a couple days or even hours, I'm on the hunt,for a new must have. Man, its three weeks now,and I'm still carrying the Bug out,don't figure.
 
Benchmade Benchmade : Hey Jimmy, is it possible to get the 535 clips put on other knives at customer service yet? My 940-1 is crying out for one...
 
Has anyone tried Rogue G-10 scales on the Bugout? I would be interested in pics and feedback please.

I ordered a set over two weeks ago (black without handle design), but I guess they have been pretty backed up with orders lately because they still have not shipped yet. I was told that would ship today. As soon as I get them installed I'll post pictures and impressions.

Has anybody noticed any wear on the blue thumb stud? I love the knife but mine has a couple of nic’s from carry already, I wish it was silver so I didn’t worry about chucking it in my pocket.
Will a stud from another model fit?

Yes it is the same size as the smaller thumb studs. The one on a 556 small grip for example.

I was just going to say that. I requested one a few weeks ago. Hopefully it will arrive the same time as my Rogue scales. I have not, however, noticed any wear on the blue studs yet.

Glad I’m not the only one. I called and requested new thumb studs and a deep carry clip for one of my 940s about four weeks ago and still haven’t received them. I’m debating on calling them again to check on their status.
 
Depending on the time frame your knife was built in the Blue looks very different on the last batch of Bugouts we got this week. Its not as shiny deep blue as the first run its more a mattish blue with a gray hue in it.

And yes we have been slammed and working through it, we should be back to our normal 2-3 day shipping time frame next week. Knife packages may be longer everyone is waiting for Benchmade to ship more Bugouts. Thanks everyone glad your enjoying the scales!

Mine is a first production run and I've noticed no wear on the thumb stud. Seems to be holding up great.
 
Mine’s a first production too, don’t get me wrong it’s the way I carry it that’s caused this, there is no issue with the Knife, I’d just prefer to not have to think about the crap I put in my pockets.
 
It looks like my black G-10 scales are out for delivery today. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them installed.
