I'm preaching to the choir here. You guys have covered every pertinent point clearly.
PayPal fees, shipping fees, even credit card fees are all
'The cost of doing business'.
Any sales transaction is business, whether you personally are a hobbyist or not.
Those ardent members who must pound their chest and create a price, then declare 'net to me' are
missing the opportunity to WOW someone with a one-stop great deal:
One Price - To Your Door!
That's good business and good community. I don't look at that price and say
"Hey, it should be $15 cheaper", (but I'll pay all the costs.... )
Buyers are impulsive. 90% of the knives sold are unnecessary purchases. Give them ANY stumbling block and you lose an opportunity.
I don't buy much, but when I sell,
I give one price. If you are nickling and diming to the point where ten bucks gain or lost is impactful, you are doing it wrong.
Hobbies are supposed to be fun
with community, and business is supposed to be honest with building clients satisfaction.
'Net to Me' forfeits both.
