Is Predator the greatest knife movie ever made?

Learning there is a new Predator movie coming out made my day.

One of my favorite movies of all time.

If I recall correctly, the first knife considered for the original Rambo movie was a Randall. Along the lines of the Model 14. That idea was thrown out in favor of the Lyle custom that lead to the 1980s "Ultimate Survivor Knife". The rest is history.

For a remake of Predator, I would like to see something more realistic and boring. Ontario machetes, kabar clones, Benchmades etc. But thats just me.

Originally, the Randall Smithsonian was to be one of the Rambo knives, but the Randall folks wouldn't fast track the knives, nor gift them to the production company, so Stallone went with Lile.
 
If Stalone had gone with the Randall Smithsonian I can't even imagine what effect it would have on Randall's business. We would probably have a wait of 10 years for a stock model #1 :)

2nd Seraphin falls - just excellent.
3rd Spartan - 'I got it from an east German, he's wasn't to keen to part with it'

Rambo is still the best knife movie out there.

I've worn out my VHS copy of Predator.One of mine all time favorites,along with "The Warriors". Go Ajax............
 
It was on TV a few days ago. "I ain't got time to bleed." Nice.

The best Arnold movie EVER besides Pumping Iron is Commando. "You're a funny man Sully. Thats why I'm gonna kill you last."

Now THATS classic.

... Another classic rape... Adrian Brody is excellent actor, but in order to pull role in Predator movies, you need attitude... *sighs*I do hope Stallone's The Expendables will be a good film. After devastating news that Hollywood plans yet another rape of Predator we need some good testosterone film which is made like best 80's action flicks like The Commando, Cobra and so forth, where bad guys are really bad guys and good guy kills them buy dozen with bunch of guns + bullets and cheesy lines.

Luckily I got Commando and Predator both unrated, uncut versions f region 2 DVD's and I bought them early on.
 
Adrian Brody bare chested??! dreadful!
it be a great remake if it has nothing but "real knives" in the line-up...
 
it isn't a remake, the video I linked to covers that. It is based on Rodriguez's original script for the sequel before they made the movie with Danny Glover. Brody's role is nowhere near Arnold's, he is one of several abductees deposited on another planet to be hunted by elder predators.
 
Spartan - fantastic movie. Kudos to the makers for getting an exclusive version made of one of the coolest autos around. Big raspberry to Severtech for charging $500 for one! :thumbdn:

The Edge is way cool..... Mamet was also behind this one (he wrote the script).
