I know....I'm jones'ing bad for a folder myself. I'd take one like this any day of the year. It went for ~$1500 on the aftermarket. :D

This thread is tha bomb! It entertains me and makes me proud at the same time. It's funny to read all those hatin' posts and all the positive testimonies from actual owners and users of Mikes knives make me proud to be a part of the ever growing Snody knife supporter family.
Mike, keep the pimp hand strong and Happy Holidays from the 713. Much love, brother!

Just saw this thread today, I don't post on BF's much. All I got to say is this:

I was introduced to Snody knives this year, I now own two, both are awesome...if he was producing shit quality knives then maybe the haters would have reason to hate. The bottom line is this, his knives are awesome and if you like him fine, if you don't then buy someone elses products.

I for one am a Snody supporter...keep up the good work Mike and merry xmas to you and your crew.

i'm loving this thread! it's nice to see him taking the haters in his stride...since his pulling in the cash still people must be buying his knives with extreme frequency! i know i owned my BM snody before i knew of his rep, and i'd love one of his folders.

He's white. But I'm not sure he knows it...

What does this have to do with anything? ...Are we all supposed to act within the confines of stereotypes based on something as trivial as the color of our skin???

That is a really good video actually. I can't believe I missed it.

He seems like a real good dude.

I notice I was mentioned in the Part 11 vid. I did say I changed my mind after watching the vid that UltraReef posted and watching a few more of his vids.

Thanks David! Your reversal has been noted and we appreciate it. We're ready to hook you up with some knives. :D

Jaxx is right on point with this one.....since when did anyone have to act a certain way based on some kind of stereotyped rule?? Last I checked, Mike Snody lives in the Great State of Texas in the United States of America. It says Live Free or Die on my AR15 and that's not just a motto. It's still a free country and you're allowed to make as much money as you want and be anyone you want.

I don't think you can call a country free that won't allow its citizens to carry a knife over 3" in their pockets, and in California they can't even buy butterfly knives. Also, I was once arrested for having a Ka-bar in my car.

A man might be free to manifest whatever personality he wants, but there are a lot of restrictions here on what you can have. You know what, I actually think in Iran they're allowed to carry knives. That means that Iran is a freer country than America.

There's nothing wrong with Snody. He's doing the smart thing-marketing himself as well as his knives.

There are so many distractions in the world to entertain us. In a field where there are thousands of talented competitors, Snody is making a name for himself in his way.

Some will be turned off, others intriqued. Hats off to anyone who can make a steady living in the rough and tumble world of knives. It's not easy, as I'm sure anyone in the business can attest. (Not in the biz myself, but being a business person, I KNOW it's got to be tough!)

Freedom without restriction is Anarchy...I mean shit, bowie knives in TX have been restricted for nearly 150 years haven't they? it all depends on your state, I can carry a 4" blades in KS without it being considered an offensive weapon.

Dig that last youtube vid about the thread:thumbup:

I've talked to Mike on the phone a couple of times and seen many of his vids, and no matter what you think I can promise you Mike is a very kind man with an huge heart. Not to mention killer knives with awesome grinds, and also a killer work ethic.

Here's a BM 210tk. Like the CF and silver twill G-10 so much that I have three of the same. For a 5.5" knife its much more capable than it looks...no problem skinning a deer with one. Need to get a real $ Sportster though!

Ok so all I wanted to know was if money had grit. Thanks to Snody for clearing that up. Really was weird to click on you tube and see him talking about this thread. I don't really care if he is or isn't Crazy. I just like to know the answers to technical kinds of things. I am in no way a hater of him and certainly not his knives. His kitchen combat stuff has been my desktop screensaver for a long time.
Not saying he is expensive in any way I'm just kind of broke, but when I get some money, Mike Snody will be the first Custom knife maker I throw money at. :D

I am intrigued.

I never knew that Mike $nody had this "image" untill this thread. I appreciate that Mr. $nody is a sucessfull and prolific knifemaker. His knives seem to be well made and sturdy. The designs are not offensive but certainly not a big breakthrough in knife aethstetic.

But the image.....hmmm.....

You can look at this a few ways. The outrageous "gangsta" thing certainly sets him apart from other knifemakers. Typically knifemakers are middle aged, bearded and slightly paunchy. Mr. $nody's "street" schtick is in stark contrast. While that certainly will appeal to the 18-25 "urban" crowd, it is an embarrasment to just about everybody else. I can say with certanty that if I saw the you tube videos while in the process of deciding on a custom knife purchace, I would think;

Wow, what an incredible d-bag. I wonder what kind of boob would think that was cool. I am absoloutely going to tell several of my friends how much this guy seems like a wannabe contestant on a VH1 reality show.

Just sayn'.

Perhaps not a break thru , but his attention to detail and the way his knives feel in the hand would most certainly change your mind there. They may be the design or styles you choose to make.

From the knife images he posts , to the new designs , to the video's , he does things one way - all out - all in , no 1/2 way crap.

Before you hate , make sure you can match the quality , otherwise , just sour grapes.

Just sayn'.

d-bag ? :jerkit:

Sounds more like sour grapes to me , especially coming from a fellow knifemaker.

What is amazing , you can say what you want about Mike , he is who he is , an unlike many , how you see him and what you say about him has little to do with his bottom line....making knives & making money.
