Is the 9 still the King?

Your picture has gotten me to thinking, what about a BK18 (90% scale BK20)? Now that could threaten the throne of the 9.

.25 ffg 9 is what ppl have been begging for. That could do it.

I wasn't crazy about the swedge but now I know that at .25", it still has plenty of spine area. Ethan explained the purpose of the swedge to me at the gathering and now i get it. I won't even try as I'm not remotely as knowledgeable or well spoken but it was in terms that i can understand and it serves a purpose more than just shedding weight which seems to be a positive byproduct of adding the swedge.

OTOH, I'm not so sure of the benefits of having a swedge on this design if it were 3/16. But, if it's there, I'm positive it's there for a reason.

NC, I think that the BK20 scaled down a bit would be a hot seller and a very useful blade.

Just like the BK5 has its little cousin in the BK15, so too could the BK20 have a partner.

I'm thinking however not Tweener size, but somewhere [forgive me] in-between the size of the BK2 and the BK20 in .250" stock; with full sized handles, of course.

Other knife companies have enjoyed success in a popular designs scaled down to Mini, scaled up to Super and up yet again to Uber.

Inasmuch as I am a mere consumer, my motives are more personal and selfish - I would like a scaled down BK20 in .250" stock.

It would be short, stocky, strong and sexy ... maybe it could be called the SALTY Edition.:cool:
