Is Your Most Expensive Knife Your Favorite Knife?

My 0560bw is my most expensive, and my favorite most of the time (and my most carried). But sometimes my favorite is the 110, so I'm not necessarily swayed by a dollar amount.

I have a feeling my next knife will usurp the throne anyway however, despite being less expensive than the ZT.

I won't say what it is for fear of jinxing it though.

Edit: my new favorite is probably my Crooked River. Less expensive than the 0560; the more I think about it, it may be a tie.

While it hasn't always been the case, my current favorite is also my most expensive.

My most expensive knives are my ZT 0350 and Spyderco PM2. My favorite knife is either my SAK Fieldmaster II, my Ontario Rat 1 or my Delica 4

This wasn't the case for me as well, but last week changed that.

At first, no. My spyderco sage one was my favorite followed close by my doug ritter mini grip. But this pm2 cost me $140 and has grown on me. Now we are inseparable.

My "favorite" seems to be my most recently acquired knife more times than not. Sometimes I carry a knife that hasn't been out of the safe for a few months, and it's my "favorite" for a little while.... until I get something new or get another neglected blade out of the safe.

My favorite knives cost me between $500 and $2000. They have been carried
but are not in the normal edc rotation.

My favourite is my most expensive, a Lile "Mission" of around 2k. This is quite distressing to me, as I never expected it to beat everything else in chopping performance (almost twice that of a Trailmaster), edge-holding, weight, grip comfort and "slicyness": It just does...

It is not my favourite design wise: I don't like the curved clip or the notches in the clip, but all my favoured designs ranged from much less slicy with less edge holding (RJ Martin Blackbird), to most being truly abysmal like the ACK SLy II and the Neeley SA9 (edge performance akin to pot metal).

Hmmm I used to make sure I primarily rotated through the most expensive knives in my collection. One day I realized I should probably start paying some respect to to all the knives I've collected throughout the years. I made myself start giving each of my knifes besides the big fixed blades carry time & have since enjoyed knife care & collecting much more. It just seemed silly to let so many cherished blades from the past collect dust.

Yes, No, Maybe. I have many favorites and they are at both ends of the price scale. Some are expensive knives that are safe queens that I want to keep nice and some are less expensive knives but were given to me or handed down that I can never lose. Everyday favorites that I carry are usually nothing that would break the bank, I have a duplicate or it could be replaced pretty easily.
