i don't think i'v ever seen a quality cedar patter, or even one posted here, good stuff. one of those pugets is worth more than the cost

I’ve not found myself with enough time to forum properly but I’ve hit a couple of places in the last several weeks on lunch or the way home from work. The little hook was on a rotten 3’ stick, picked that up and the large shovel head at a Grange Sale in the fine city of Boring. My wife wants something blade related to hang on the wall – I have several small pieces of drift wood that ended up coming home from the last time I took my daughter to see the folks. Should be just the ticket.

The two hatchets came from a place here – the guy hadn’t taken them out of the bins they were brought to him in yet. Can’t say why but I seem to have made it a habit of passing on the “rough finish” no name hatchets but I wanted the handle off of this one for something else :)

The other one is a little TT World’s Finest.

The Zenith Marshall Wells rasp came out of a barn sale stop. It has been cleaned/soaked/cleaned for about 2 weeks but it looks like a sharp little winner.

You have some very awesome finds sir:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Must be the time of year..? I hear what your saying. House, yard, family, children, projects, work...motivation.
Things shuffle, my work bench has some bike parts on it next to a back saw an axe eye maul, furnace cement and ratchet straps...its busy :D:cool:

That's a great blue knob handle! Reminds me of a Walters handle.

That hook...:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

The TT is a good looking fella and the file looks crisp and sharp, ready for many more years.

I dont have any experience with traps or trapping, but that one you have...small game-rabbit, squirrel? Looks great!

Not sure but is that considered a coal shovel?
My dad loves to tell me the stories about his days working a long gone lumber/hardware warehouse where he shoveled and delivered coal...in his youth ;)

Great pieces! Thanks for sharing AgentH
Time for another cup o' joe:cool:

didnt find much today, on the bright side only spent 3 dollars, here's that grinder i mentioned a while ago. so far i have $23 into it. originally i planned to add a flywheel but then i found this today, now i just gotta figure out how to put this on there along with a motor i'v had for a while. should be a beast when i get it all together

You do get a good amount of handles to choose from...kudos to you!

Does this vise you have pictures read TROJAN anywhere. Yours looks very similar to my own.

That will be great when you get it up and running smooth. What speed motor do you have? Is that a 10" stone? Excellent PK

nah, it's a 14" i think. i'm not sure what RPM the motors run but i know they're about 1 or 3/4 horse

Wow all of your finds make my one axe seem a little insignificant... I purchased this snow and neally #3-1/2 Dayton from a customer for whom i just finished a hardwood floor. He also had a nos handle with perfect grain! I'm pumped. I only lightly cleaned it(1st two photos before cleaning) put a nice edge on it and it's ready to work! I'll make a sheath for it as soon as my leather comes in.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps nothing faster than 1750rpm on any motor you use for the stone. It's going to be incredibly useful, the open design, limitless for edged tool reprofiling and sharpening etc...
Wicked Awesome!

I just noticed that brush hook is a NWTCO. What an awesome find! I'm almost strictly a knife and axe guy but i definitely have brush hook envy! Saweeet.

I agree...its a real head turner looker!!
Everything about it

a little guide to those of you with fire axes but not sure if there's a specific name for them, ones without picks are flatheads (they're just giant daytons), 2 1/2-3/4 pound heads are "truck size" and 1 3/4 pound is "belt size"
