It followed me home (Part 2)

I got 6 lol, don't sell me short! The handle is a 24" boys handle, it's a keeper.
if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm looking for a short full size handle for that kelly perfect. if i should be so fortunate for an opportunity to present itself, i'd jump at it.

Speaking of handles, one time i found a form for a copy lathe, now that i think about it it was really cool, i didnt know what it was so i thought it was just a really screwy handle with giant round bits at either end. really wish i bought it

jbblyttle, your third photo down, the fixed bladed knife just above the clamp, looks just like one I got from my Father from "Restaurant La Cabana" Buenos Aires, Argentina, that he got on Aug 14, 1972. Wondering if yours is from the same place? Thanks. John

It looks similar to this example, including the sheath:

It is that very same knife, exactly.

Here's a couple farrier's files. The Stokes Bros says Bangor, which I'm inclined to think means Bangor Maine but i can't find info that they had a production facility there.

If things go my way I'll have a mint, box set snow&neally camping/ splitting set by the end of the week. I'm hoping she'll sell it to me!!

I got em! I think the heads are made in c. Cch. Cchhi. Oh it's hard to say... chchChina! There i said it. It says made in U.S.A on the box but looking at the heads i don't believe it. Still it's cool to have an old box set.

The lady i bought them from said she bought the set in 1979. Not sure where that falls in the s&n timeline. I'm happy to have them!

Those are neat as a set for sure!
Do they really say China somewhere?
I mean, a best axe is a best axe after all.
How are they wedged?

They aren't stamped China anywhere. But they also aren't stamped s&n nor do they have a weight stamp. They are wedged the typical s&n way, with a metal wedge. The mini maul is cast and neither are finished very thoroughly. Could mean China, could mean they weren't making much on em and we're hurrying! I'll take some close ups later so you guys can tell me what you think. I'm still pleased with them. A box set!

That's great news! It does after all state "made in U.S.A" on the box. I've just never seen s&n's that rough. Especially brand new ones. I now have three s&n's with labels. The hatchet i bought awhile ago.

This is all I brought back with me from after my grandparents moved. I finally got a picture of it all. The axe and hatchet I rehung before this picture, I'll post close ups in the appropriate forum. The planer is actually from my dad, he found one worth fixing up for me and refinished it himself.

Close up of the Disston, have to spend more time cleaning it, sadly no handle was found with either saw.

Thought this one was cool, need to replace the blade.

And the rest are pictures I promised last week of my two jerseys after their bath. No visible markings on either except a faded spot on the left one.

Going to give this one a second bath after I scrub out the eye some more. Has faint eye ridges, 3 on each side.
