It followed me home (Part 2)

Yes sir first one for me in awhile, was there at 9:30 and spent 15 bucks didnt have time to look around good, got back on that side of town at 4:00 and stopped in again they where handing out bags said whatever you can get in them five bucks, guy there said what they didnt sell they were throwing away ,got that sledge, pick, shovels and them little sickles for three dollars.

junkenstein, what weight/no is the sledge? I only ask because I have a no 750 10lb head and have almost gotten a no 750 12lb head and yours looks like them.

Moonw, this is for you. The pliers after finishing a vinegar bath. They still look rusty in the photos but it's just surface rust. I have seen things retrieved off of sunken ancient greek ships that look to be in better shape than this. As a review, it went from this:

Thanks! You're right on point with: "I have seen things retrieved off of sunken ancient greek ships that look to be in better shape than this." - I was subconsciously searching for the same words I guess :).

Three dollars at the local flea market. I have been looking for a rail road track piece for a while but everyone wanted 10 or $20 for them I finally found a sensible person and got each of them for a dollar then I paid a dollar for the little hand drill. No axes but still a good day.

Sell one for $10-15.

While it’s not quite a JB level haul, this has got to be my biggest score ever. $20 at the flea market today! Apologies for the terrible lighting in the first pic, I will get some better shots as I go through the group and clean up the heads. There’s at least a few nice keepers here that will get hung and put to work.

First up a big ol double bit. The stamp is barely visible, and even harder to photograph, but I am fairly certain that this is a Marshall Wells Zenith.

This only marking on this boys axe is HARTFORD, could this be a Collins of some sort?

My humble find for today is an almost never used horse shoe forge. The abbreviated version is a friend bought the house that it was at and gave it to me rather than send it to the dump. I know it needs a couple new firebricks but aside from that I don't know what it needs or if it needs anything. I'll probably test it in the next couple of weeks. Please pardon the leaves and dirt as it sat outside for a while and I haven't cleaned it yet.
