A Half-Wedge? Double in really nice condition. I love the diamond eye.

Oh and I might have had some "side-of-road" wood follow me home as well. Just the right size to throw themselves in the Subaru.

thats awesome copper! i passed on one similar to that a couple of years ago... there were 3 axes at a pawn shop and i could only afford 2 of them, so i didnt get the one with the diamond eye...
it had markings on it but i cant remember what they were...
i went back a couple of weeks later to get it, but he had already sold it :(
you dont (or at least i dont) come across those very often...

Bear, I don't think you do come across these very often. I've seen a few recently.

EDIT:
Nick, on the front face of the axe - one side says Marsh & Sons, Oakland Maine and on the other 3 1/2.

Sweet Rockaway. The bit geometry and poll look like they've hardly had any use. I'd like to see it cleaned up.

Is it a rockaway or a Jersey with rounded lugs. :D

It does look like it's had hardly any use. Only issue was it's probably been sitting outside for sometime. It has cleaned up nice I think. Pics to follow.

Coop, that Marsh & sons double is gorgeous.. let me if you ever want to trade or sell. Have a rea softspot for Maine axes..

Ah. Unfortunately, that one is a keeper. I've been looking for a good one since you put me on to those maine patterns. Met a few people on trailcrew in the whites who use this double bit pattern as well.
