all the ZK fixed blades have American flags engraved on them. I remember them as being "International", i.e., Taiwan, and made of SK5 mystery steel.

The Kabar website shows them to all be made in the USA now, and of 1095.

Does anyone know when this happened? This year for SHOT? or earlier? I don't remember seeing any announcement about it.

Earlier last year, I believe. At Blade last year, we were offering some screaming deals on the last of the Taiwan zombie blades in Ka-Bar's inventory.

I took delivery of a brand new sinus infection yesteray. Today I'm staying home to put it through it's paces.
 
That Johnson Parangatang looks mighty interesting... Wouldn't mind seeing some better pics of the collabs either.
 
Parangatang does look nice. Looking forward to seeing better pics of it as well! I like the blade profile quite a bit, hope its not too thin. looks like it would make a great chopper. I dont care for that Wharnstalker though.

I've done a couple long road trips in my little extended cab sonoma pickup where I just leaned the seat back and slept that way. A sleeper would be much nicer. If I had a shell on the back I could use my air mattress back there but then it would be a pain to use the bed.

Need to find some .22 ammo now that I'm getting back into shooting. I have several hundred rounds but I could burn through it in two or three trips to the range. Especially if I brought friends.

The one thing in Canada that I find is cheaper then the U.S....Think the last box of Winchester Dynapoint's I purchased cost me $30. When I was in Florida a few months ago they were going for $75
