Looks like they were sleeping. You have a few replies now.
Yeah, I see that... I was just thinking since there were like 50 views and no replies it was a bit weird. I still say Beckerheads are better :D

Mornin' all. Got in about 2am this morning.

We went and spent the day at Carowinds amusement park, where they have metal detectors and won't let you carry knives.

Slept in, seems I got some plumbing to do today. Ah, and its the start of my family's summer vacation as well.

Gonna be a great week.

Looks like you need to get one of those Carbon Fiber blades Moose. I take it the girls didn't make it to sunday, :( That change in heat has GOT to be a killer.

Small knives are awesome. Not a fan of the remora, but the candiru looks ok. I like the concept and the blade shape, but the handle looks a bit turd-shaped. The scales look like a must-have. $50 is reasonable. I drooled over the brkt bumblebee for a long time, that's my kind of little knife.
Chicago's legal limit for the blade is 2.5 inches. I want to find a fullsize fix blade with a blade that size so it is legal to carry.

Does anyone know if the BK9 has been shipping with an updated sheath with the strap on the back (like the BK7 now has)? If so, I'm looking for one to replace the older style.

Yeah, we got knocked out by 2 points to not make it to the finals on sunday. Our tourney record was 2-1-1. We lost our first game, and that cost us big time.

I dont care too much about the BL limit. I'v carried 6 inch blades to the smallest sak's. Most of the cops in chicago are pretty cool about is as long as you arnt breaking any laws. I ususlly take a BM mini grip and a case peanut. Or an izula.

Got my new camera in Sat. Not a high end shooter, but I'm not an expert lens man either. Sweet little point n' shoot though. I also found my 14, been MIA since the Gathering.

Just got back from county dump. It's 106 here today. First tweener in mailbox ( bk 16) . Sitting in truck with ac on sipping cold one and checking out 16. WOW , nice first impression, it feel as though I have a combo of the 9 and 14 that I couldn't live without either! I know you all know this. Just wanted to say "Tis a good day indeed". Fits my puny MIT just great and sheath seams way adequate. Can't wait to bushcraft with this baby! Going city camping next weekend with wife and daughter , I'll do the most I can with it.

I'm looking for a very durable, compressible and light weight sleeping bag. Anybody got any good ideas?

Usually means down. Both I and a friend have the Marmot Sawtooth. Nothing bad to say about it.
For hot summer nights though, I just use the REI Travel Sack.

I have a snugpak that has been very nice. Goes down to just slightly bigger than a nalgene, rated at 36° at the extreme end, forty something for the comfort zone. I really have enjoyed it.

I just picked up an rei lumen 40+ it packs down small and rei has the best warranty/return policy on earth. If you don't like it just take it back

Check out Western Mountaineering. They make some of the best down bags on the planet. Excellent quality down and construction. And they are made in the USA.

In what sort of temps/conditions were you thinking of using the bag?

Absolutely agree. Been carrying Western Mountaineering bags for years. Best you can buy. The Snugpaks are great summer bags too.

I like the surplus sleeping system. It gives you plenty of options. Snugpak & Wiggy's are great too. I have a civilian Sierra Designs Wild Bill 20° bag, comfy!
