It's The End Of The World What Custom Knife Would You Grab ( Happy Halloween :) )

Joe, great thread idea...for you buddy I'm bringing the Heat!!!

End of the world?? I'm Grabbing three my friends!! .... First would have to be my 10" blade Jason knight Founders variant with Ironwood handle!

Not only a great blade but my first knife that dropped my jaw when I first opened the box and handled it!!!

So it has a special place in my heart...also it is super thick to handle serious chopping as well as stabby fighting. Off with that Zombie's head!! :)

The funny thing about this, is that if you had asked me a year ago, I would have just laughed it off. But then Erin got Angi and I watching The Walking Dead. ;)

After watching the blonde gal clunk a zombie in the head with a shovel, coupled with cringing whenever they get close enough to the "walkers" to stab them in the eye with a small knife... My wheels started turning until I had an idea in my mind about what I would want. :o :)

Since it doesn't exist, I can't post a photo, but essentially it would be a combination of a Jungle Honey and a G10 shovel handle. :D Differentially hardened W2 (or 3V) sharpened on top and bottom edges. The long, two handed handle would allow for a strong swing, DISTANCE from the freaks, and also strong thrusts.

Would also want a 10" camp-ish and/or fighter-ish knife on my side for general survival chores as well as back-up. :) The Knight's and Lamey's in this thread would all work perfectly.

There's no doubt Bob will be slaying zombies with the highest degree of style of anyone here.

Joe, I have been thoroughly enjoying this thread, Thanks for posting this up. The knives that have been posted up so far are some of my all time favorites!

I have not made too many Knives that would Excel in this application...

I would start with this:
My Better Half sporting the Suppressed SBR'd - AR15:

and me in the distance on the Barrett 6.8 SPC

When Ammo runs out...
Here is one of my first blades, very crudely made for my Hog Hunt in Texas.

Then one of my Fighters

... I do have a Quesenberry in the mail to me that would find it's way in the mix pretty quickly I am guessing.

Ryan- you better watch your P's and Q's... looks like she could seriously kick some ass!!! :D

Haha, Like you Nick I married UP! You are correct that is why she would be on the front line and I will be hiding in the bushes! ;) I too have been watching The Walking Dead and am in the halloween spirit!

Yes that cutlass is a 'killer'

(I hope this doesn't double post, lost my first one somewhere)

This is crazy awesome! Sinbad goes to tiffany's. What is the length ofthat blade? it's so entirely crazy in a good way I can't get over it. while the honey badger might be the best for zombie apocolypse this would be best for fighting the living, so they can at least know they went out in style.

Nick - funny you whould mention that - the first bladed weapon that came to mind when Joe posted this thread was a Zulu assegai with an extra-broad leaf-shaped head. Stand-off striking ability has gotta be a plus in dispatching the undead.

It also reminded me that this is something I have long been meaning to add to my collection. And a Jungle Honey.

Joe, I think you outta do a Khukri project next and, if you do, I want one to bring out every Halloween. But seriously, if you do it as a project, count me in.
