I'm leaving the fate of my Black CG Boss Jack in your hands. I dont really like coated blades. They're just cheaper. I've stripped my RMD and Skinny ASH and I'm happy with the results. Tonight I may strip and begin sanding by BJ depending on the outcome. So, cast your vote.

don't do it... sell it and then order an LE or DC... Good luck either way. Just my .02

Leave it alone. I'm a fan of satin blades but for a user in that category, I'd leave it the way it is and let the finish wear naturally.

I don't like how wood slivers get stuck in the crinkle coatings when you baton through a chunk myself. That and there is a lot of places for bacteria to hide if you are going to cut anything you might eat. That is why I usually strip my users.

On the other hand, if you plan on doing neither of those things then it really should not be an issue. Once you strip it, that striking color contrast is gone.

Since I don't know if it is a user or not based on the pics alone, I'll pass on a vote since it's not my blade to decide, but yours. ;)

The black looks good but the naked INFI below will look better!!!!
Because of the FFG it should look REaLLY good!!
STRIP IT!!!

Ah, you did not read my pole question sir. Those two uses you mentioned will be its primary job. Please cast your vote. :D

Go and beat the hell out of it. The coating will go away with use.
It depends on what you plan to use this blade for. If food is connected - strip it. If not- why bother. Like I said - the coating will go away with use.

I usually use them till the coating is worn, then strip.

I voted strip it because I think that is the direction you are already leaning.

Black does look great with the pumpkin, but for users I prefer stripped.

It looks damn good the way it is, but it does sound like you wanna strip it, so take it all off!:D

User - strip it.

Safe queen - leave it.

I love blorange, but I don't have any anymore B/C they are only safe queen worthy.

Option 3 (not in the poll)...

Beat the ever lovin' frak out of it...THEN strip it!

...And the next poll I see outta you better have something to do with JILL the stripper!!! Just sayin'! :foot: ;) :D:D:D
