Jack's Random Tuesday Carry

Jack,
Thanks, that is what I thought it might be as it looked like there was a blade showing underneath the knife. Thanks. John

Yes indeed John, that's the blade of the can-opener. Here's another couple of old ones

Those #48’s sure are slim, aren’t they? Maybe I’ll not-so-randomly carry this Tidioute version today, too.

They certainly are Barrett, that's a nice one :)

@Misplaced Hillbilly randomly mentioned this one, and it was the first knife I pulled out of my dark sock drawer.

That is, out of my sock drawer before dawn. I don't have a separate drawer for light socks.

LOL! :D Very good Jer! :D A nice random pick too

Someone mentioned Slim Jack. I know I heard someone say Slim Jack.
Before Derrick Bohne was the keeper of the Northwoods name, Dave Shirley was a one man operation at Northwoods.
I'm pretty sure it was Queen Cutlery that made this one for Dave Shirley and Northwoods.
Here's my Northwoods Green Bone Slim Jack (D2 steel) ...

I caught a Colonial fish knife between thumb and pinkie (the Shao Lin fist of the ladybug pinchers) I was missing its handles when I bought it at the flea market in the 70s.

Nice work Jer! :) Sorry I missed this today

That's a cool-looking knife

I've given a few of these Rough Riders away to friends who prefer locking folders, and ended up keeping one myself. I think I've had this knife 2-3 years, and Random Tuesday is the first time it's been in my pocket. Rough Riders (or Ryders) cost 2-3 times here what they do in the US, but are still inexpensive. I'm quite pleased with this one, though the blade does have a little vertical play

A souvenir from Ladbroke Grove Jer?! :D ;) Righteous!
You know, I can't remember what I pocketed in the LG days. All I remember buying there are the 6" Wm Rodgers Bowie, the 10" "foreign" Bowie, and the Austrian engineer's falchion. In the 70s, I must have had something with a bottle opener, but I wasn't hoarding scout knives yet. Maybe my original SAK from 1967?
Maybe I'll remember the remote past better when I'm more senile.

I forget what happened yesterday  I think I might have still been carrying a Fairbairn-Sykes back then!
