Jack's Random Tuesday Carry

I think the two=piece can opener is to get around a patent that was being enforced again after WWII.

Doublyou doubleyou eye eye, as I once heard Dan Rather read it.

That's an interesting piece of information Jer

I have two of these Prince Edward Barlows (apparently you can tell by the brass liners that it's the tobacco version). One of them is my first real Barlow, which I got cheap because someone had managed to get the blades crossed, despite their being on the same end with a full liner between them.

They seem to me a particularly nice Barlow, somehow less clunky than a lot of Barlows.

Love these...not too easy to find these days but...thinking same lineage?

I'd say absolutely the same lineage. Notice that the "sawcut" pattern is identical. From the same mold, as they say.
Picked out this Schrade Barlow today, which was part of one of r8shell r8shell 's generous Texas care packages :)

🤠 👍

I won this old Camillus in a giveaway r8shell r8shell ran, quite a few years back. She sent it with a well-designed, and nicely-made leather slip 😎👍

Nice to see that one again, Jack, and I still get a laugh out of those cheeky scouts. 😄

I'll carry this random pair (the corn scalpel riding in a slip)
