The file sits, to this day, on Stan Shaw's work bench.
Excellent choice for today, Jack; and a neat old file!!

Thank you Charlie, a real old firm, located very close to where both my grandmother lived, and grew up (she moved 2 doors down the yard when she got married!). I bought the file when I first knew Tool Man, and was one of several I gave to Stan. He could go through his pile of files, and identify every one I'd given him. His favourite file pattern was a 'Four Square', as he called them. Sadly I have a few he never got :(

I picked this Solar Barlow up about 10 years ago. The feller I bought it from had a ton of similar Japanese knives, which he claimed to have bought in 1970. The Clip blade on the Barlow locks, and is released by depressing the Pen blade

Unless my memory is faulty, and that never happens, if I recall correctly.
I'll clean it up and see what it looks like. I do remember I liked the broader point on this more than the wispy point on my 110.
Just a slight surprise mate, I have no idea! :D Interesting observation :) I was thinking about my 110 just now, be cool enough to wear a coat soon :)
