The Gods of Chance kindly handed me this Wheatley Brothers ivory-hafted Candle-End Jack today :) I always mean to carry this one more, it has great walk and talk

I'm carrying this knife by Tod Cutler today, which is modelled on knives from the 14th and 15th century, which would have been used primarily for eating :) Lucky dip! :D

Interesting design. Thanks for showing it. Reminds me of a Brazilian style knife. Do you know if Todd Cutler make these himself? Thanks.

My hydrogeology field camp knife popped up out of my stainless underwear drawer.

This actually replaced my Buck 110. Thinner, lighter, and flat ground.
Thanks for holding the fort Jer, cool knife

Thank you, yes, I know what you mean :) I've had quite a few knives from Tod, he has his own workshop, and I'm told that everything he sells is made there

Somewhere in Yorkshire, legend has it that a guy has a whole garage full of Japanese-made knives he bought in 1970. I met the guy once, and used to come across knives he'd sold on to other market traders, such as this little Solar Jack, which apart from the plastic covers, is a decent knife, particularly for the £3-£4 that was being charged for them

Somebody loved that one for a long time.
Mine is another Kent.

Funny I bought it, as they replaced the sheepsfoot instead of the spay with a pen, but it's a good, strong knife with nice thin blades. Luscious handles, too.
I see a lot of stockmans with the sheepsfoot replaced instead of the spay. As if some people preferred it that way.

Yeah, those old Yorkshire fellers didn't throw much away! :D Nice Kent Jer  I didn't realise it was common for the Sheepsfoot to be replaced like that, kind of weird, but maybe some folks DID prefer it, to losing the Spey 🤷‍♂️

My paint is on it. I actually did some work with this one.

So, it's you whose been using all those old Bexoid-handled Lambsfoot knives I buy! Almost all of them have seen some white paint :D

I wanted a Sheffield Penknife today, but other than that, the pick was entirely random
