January 2022 Buck of the Month - The 55 S35VN Red Canvas Micarta

The last few knives I’ve ordered I didn’t get any shipping notice or tracking from ups or usps. They just showed up. I m glad they made it and package was still on my steps but I was a little nervous about delivery cause I’m not always home early and sometimes very late at night. Sometimes the carrier will put it in the vestibule where it’s protected and somewhat concealed but sometimes on front steps where it’s visible from the street and exposed to the wind.
 
I don’t typically get shipping notice, either. But this time I did. Scheduled to be dropped in my box on Friday. Excited to see how it came out.
 
I sometimes get a shipping notice from Buck and sometimes not, but I use USPS Informed Delivery and that tracks any package being shipped to my address. That has been flawless for me so far. But nothing so far coming from Post Falls, ID.
 
I have a important letter trapped in the USPO hub in Jacksonville Florida since December 27..
 
If Buck was still in San Deigo we would have to worry about packages being stolen right out of UPS train shipments as organized thefts are occurring there. Gangs take bolt cutter's to open rail cars dump packages to confederates and steal them. LA's prosecutors release the criminals on no cash bail and most plead out to trespassing in the rare cases they are caught. And go right back again.

In California, prop 47 raised the $ limit for a felony theft from $400 to $950 making anything under that a misdemeaner. The result is a game of catch and release. Seems like every big problem society faces today is the result of the governments resonse to a smaller problem.

The red micarta looks worn and dirty (spots and streaks of black) in the pictures posted by Jeff of the North and DOGPOUND77. I would not be happy with either of these two examples. I'm glad I resisted and didn't make the purchase this month.
