I went out today to try but failed. Not enough snow!

It started snowing!!!! Not a lot but it's a good indicator that it will some more pretty soon.

Got out in some snow today for a bit, though nothing I could really do anything with. I did take a couple cool pictures though. I'll post later.

we have an inch of snow or two...

7 degrees out...

a couple hours North, it's -8 with a feels like -41. nice.

Sometime this week ill be driving up to Mt. Hood, they have a 70" snow base right now.

Snow cave and a fire will ensue and ill have my lovely little snow cave to sleep in while it 4 degrees out and dropping snow at a rate of 12" every 24 hours. At 6000 foot elevation I should find some good snow in an out of the way place in the woods I think.

3rd day in a row with bright sun and temps well over 50...

Today I'm getting ready to go up to hood and build my first snow cave, lots of gear but I think I maybe needing it.

Ill be building a cave no matter what, and trying to spend the night in it, thus all gear which is more then I like most of the time but for night time temps at 8 degree and not counting the wind chill I might need it!

Yeah, no snow here as well, im driving 100 miles for it.

Also just a quick note for everyone when it's cold out and you going to be working building a shelter don't forget to hydrate really well the night before!

No snow here either. Well not enough anyway.

I wish we had mountains here in the mitten. Well there's some in the U.P., but nothing over 1,000 ft. I believe. Rivers? Yep. Forests? Plenty. Water? Oh yeah we do. Snow? Usaully. Mountains..........

Always snow in January on a mountain like that.....

We had snow for less than a week, It's nothing but non stop rain now. At this pace I will be S%*t out of luck. Hope some of you guys are doing better.

Weather.com indicates that we're supposed to get 4-6in over the next 36 hours. Snow or snow mixed with rain is the forcast from now until Monday, but the Highs are all right around 38, so I'm thinking we'll get gypped and get some snow at night, and then rain all day just to make sure everything is soaking wet...

But I'ma hoping.. Don't want MWTIC to be the sole entrant and get all the loot .

Well, it's been cold all day, and the sky is clear, so it will get colder. There was the first ice of this winter on some puddles this morning...

Hoping for snow, but I don't really think it will be enough for this contest.
