do you still have a lot of this left?

Approximately 80 boxes, unless I have to replace the eight boxes I gave away two weeks ago that are lost in the mail. I ran a contest and tried shipping eight at one time and they have disappeared. Going to PO Monday to find out why, we have witnesses that helped load PO van with boxes.

Jim

BTW: After these boxes are gone this thread will be closed, we cleaned out the dump of all the material left. The machine shop we were getting it from lost their contract with Westinghouse and there will be no more.

how do you cut this stuff?

I used a wet tile saw to cut into shippable pieces, works well, no dust nor fumes. Just messy water. Slow and easy with the saw, one blade cut up at least 10,000 lbs. Changed out blades later, you should not have any trouble. A metal cutting bandsaw will also work, but then you have the dust and fume problem.

Just my .02, Good Luck,
Jim

I believe it is all the same. Different people who submitted their pictures just had different color balance set in their cameras.

I do believe you are right, however, I have noticed that the thinner the scales, the more translucent it becomes, thus that would account for the lighter colors on the folders and deeper colors on the fixed blades. From personally handling some of these knives. When the material is "worked" or jigged it seems to turn somewhat whitest. I personally think that may be from the heat. I could be wrong.

Hope this information helps any and all interested.

I really like the Matt Bailey knife in the pics. That green is real nice and also the Doug P Dart one is the look that i am going for. Any tips? I wonder about that heat thing though. I wouldn't want it white really, but thats me. Thanks, just thought I'd ask.

I have handled and owned more than 10 of these knives from Matt. They are about all the same, but the actual color is a little lighter. I bought several batches of them from Matt and gave them to customers and employees. You might ask him about how he finished them out. I am sure he would be glad to talk with you.

Jim,

The box arrived two days ago. I LIKE IT! Do you have one more left?

Henry
