Jeremy Swisher is a no good scum of the earth THIEF

Right on man, gives his real (?) name better visibility in association with the activities he has chosen to perpetrate. It's always too bad when a man's name has to be trodden upon, but he brought it on himself by having zero regard for the rights of others.

It's not hard to do. Here's how. There is a reason we're suggesting it. That way anyone else who has the "pleasure" of getting involved in comms with this guy will hopefully have a fighting chance to know not to, even if he comes back with another account name, or they run across him on some other platform.

I changed the title on my thread to include Jeremy Swisher's name so it is easier to find for unsuspecting buyers.

He deserves all the bad juju or karma, whatever you call it, coming to him. Thanks again for the suggestion. Merry Christmas brother

It bears mentioning that you don't have any "protection" if you use virtually all other forms of online payment such as Venmo/CashApp/etc. either. Some sellers here want money orders or checks. Same thing.

With the new upcoming countrywide Federal regulations regarding payments, many people are moving to those other services (and yes, using F&F) because they don't want a tax bill for what's supposed to be a hobby. Full disclosure? I'm one of them. I'm not keeping spreadsheets of profits/losses so I can pay a portion of whatever I made to the Government just for selling a few knives, especially after they already taxed my paycheck, and then the initial sale of that knife. Sorry, not sorry, and frankly, I've had no issue selling knives. Feel free to look up my name in this section, no scamming or mistreatment of customers from me!
I've gone back and forth on this and am still not sure where I've landed. I don't mind paying income taxes on any profit I happen to make, but it is sounding possible that if I call this hobby income that none of the expenses will be deductible from the gross income. If I literally treat it as a sole proprietorship business and file a Schedule C with my personal tax return, I might be able to offset income with expenses and thereby only pay tax on profit. I would actually not find that unfair.

But if they want to send me a 1099 and say that every dollar I was paid for knives I sold counts as part of my personal adjusted gross income without regard to the fact that I had to buy those knives with post-tax dollars in the first place, they can piss up a rope, I'll go back to money orders and checks.

And to think that they're still trying to make it worse by making all bank trantransactions reportable! There would be no way to deposit even cash sales.

A member on here gave me details on a transaction he had. I paid 10 bucks to people finders and this is what I got. Enjoy 😉

these services like PPG&S are forced to declare every penny they make over $600 to the FedGov

WHAT!!!!

I guess I kind of skimmed over this. Youch. I guess I won't start making handmade swords on the regular.... Or I'll take payments in installments. ;)

Hvactech Hvactech I don't know anything about these people finder services or how accurate they are, so I don't know if I would have posted that info. What I would be inclined to do though, is get in touch with everyone he as stolen from, tally up the grand total, and contact law enforcement together with them, and bring them that info as well and let them investigate.

Ok I will delete it

I'm not necessarily saying that either lol. I'm not a mod in this section, FYI so don't think I am trying to make you do anything, just sharing my opinion.

While certainly a long shot- I have heard of members that paid F&F making claims and winning on occasion . PP doesn't do it regularly and certainly is not going to pay out of their pocket, but might assist if you say you made a mistake and show him as a scammer. If nothing else they might close his accounts down.
PP is a bit quirky, and it is hard to say for certain what they might do(or not do). All depends on who you talk to.

It seems he mainly deals in autos and as I am starting to get into automatics myself and dodged a bullet dealing with him for the Spyderco Autonomy 2 that he got winnerone23 winnerone23 on in August I am following this one closely.
Does anyone have an address for him?

ETA: translation: we should be shouting from the rooftops "Say NO to F&F!"
I have many transactions buying and selling F&F, never any problems. Do your homework on who you buy from and you won’t get ripped off.

Is it possible to use a fake name on venmo if it is linked to a bank account? There is a Jeremy Swisher in Lonedell MO so this leads me to believe that Jeremy Swisher is his real name. Shelley Hardister works or has worked for the MO Dept. Of Public Safety as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Inspector according to Google.
