Jerry Halfrich Knives...

It reminded me of my Kershaw Gentlemen's Folder, only much nicer.
A good example of the difference between a great custom and a good production knife.

Elliott and Jerry, what a fantastic design! I've always thought a shadow with the copperhead "guard" would be great for an EDC, but was thinking in terms of a slipjoint jack.

The way the swedge flows into the nail nick is something very special. Just a beauty!

Thanks, Jeff. Here's a link to something Jerry's and my pal Ken Erickson built for me along the lines you mention. Don't want to take Jerry's thread too far off track so we can discuss it via PM if you like.
(I know Jerry wouldn't mind as I had the pleasure of bringing those two gents together.)

Appreciate your insights as I know you always analyze a knife (from experience) in terms of its utility, function and aesthetics.

Great design - sporty and classy at the same time. And Jerry thought you "might" like it? Terrific pattern and great score Elliott.

Thanks, Marty...Yep, Jerry's got quite the sense of humor...:p

Congrats on a nicely executed design! Jerry has a way of making the lines on his knives flow just right:thumbup:

Thanks, Ken. It means a lot coming from you. I know Jerry will be pleased to read your comment as well since he both admires your work and values your friendship.

A new image just taken on the porch to give a slightly different perspective...

I can see me with one of those with bolsters and bone or jigged micarta covers. Heck, I can even see me with one just like that one. Superb looking design and as always, Jerry's execution is first class. I'm like Jeff, that swedge simply the best looking I believe I have ever seen; it is perfect for the blade and the nick placement. Elliott, thanks for posting and thanks for the link you posted in the EDC thread; otherwise, I might not have seen this for a while.

You're welcome, Ed. I'm glad you like it. It's one of those knives, like the original Copperlock, that just disappears in your pocket but packs enough oomph to get most any reasonable task done.

What is the larger versions size going to be? I really like this one. The size is too small for my liking, but a larger version could be very nice.

If I recall correctly, it should be about 4 1/8" like the original Case pattern.
