Jim Dunlap knives

I plan to stop by, shake his hand, and possibly pick up another one of his knives. I'm very impressed in this one in the limited time I've had so far.

Here's a couple better pics.

Picked up this one on the exchange and love it! It's a full size 3 7/8" LC, but with thinner 3/32" blade and thin LSCF it carries super slim. Something subtle about the blade shape on this one really appeals to me, and with that shield its a really handsome knife.

Newest addition to my small but growing collection of Dunlap's. I've wanted a custom small swayback for awhile. This is a dream come true.

Just got my new custom from Jim this AM. I previously had an ivory gent's knife made by him, and had since picked up some mammoth ivory. I partially finished some of the mammoth to see what was inside it, and sent it off to Jim to have a companion knife made in mammoth. I made a layout of how the scales should lay on the two pieces, and he nailed it. I asked him to rotate the pile side layout slightly counter clockwise to make the long crack parallel with the centerline of the knife. The knife is a work of art.

Jim is a class act and does great work in trying to fulfill your request for a custom knife.

Here is a custom Jim built for me. A 3" carbon fiber version of the Schrade Old Timer 930T. This makes for a great EDC.

Nice one Charles. I think I saw you take delivery in Tulsa. I thought it was a Peanut, but Jim corrected me.

I ask Jim to help me save the stag covers from a very old Shapliegh Hardware jack that was found on my father in law's old family farm. Knife was trashed, but I really liked the old stag covers. There were pin cracks on both ends, but Jim was able to build me this barlow. Can't wait to show it to my father in law when I see him next. Knife measures 3 1/4"

Chuko, both the barlow and the old timer pattern are phenomenal. What a gorgeous spear point with a long pull.

Here is a custom Jim built for me. A 3" carbon fiber shadow version of the Schrade Old Timer 930T. This makes for a great EDC and as you can see from the details in John's photos it has been in my pocket a lot. I love the weight, blade utility, and access to both blades from the same side.

Really liking that barlow and the old timer shadow Charles. Both good looking builds and the stag covers on the barlow are great.
