JK FFL 2013 Season starting!

Hey Andy, the best sports writing available, I'm sending samples and your resume to the Chicago Tribune and Sports Illustrated so they can up their game. Keep it up Brother! It's my favorite thing about Hump Day!

Thanks guys - I usually just read it to Maggie once I get it done for the week - appreciate that you all read it and enjoy my ramblings.

Looks like I lost one of my Jacksons. down to just 2 and zero Johnsons. The TE collection is growing however!

It is the best part of the week. Well...this week, anyway. :D

Seriously - I look forward to it.

I've gotta tell you guys n gal, I am really enjoying this fantasy league. I've played in others (although not recently) and none were as fun as this.

And that, no doubt, is due to my follow players.

It's the only one I've ever been a part of, you mean all FF leagues aren't kick ass fun and awesome, (I really do look forward to the roundup each week and was looking forward to this 2013 league all year, hoping there would be a repeat!)

Ah , I just want to win that knife!

(Just kidding - I enjoy this one better than my high-dollar pay league. Good stuff, but just as frustrating!)

F'ing Peyton Manning....

Is there a mercy rule??? Paul destroyed me. Course, when your top rated WR gets 1 point, you know it's going to be a bad day...

You know you are having a bad day when your kicker is your highest scorer. JnJ put up a miserable 57 points to
take low dishonors for the toilet score for the week. Wilson of the Giants finally looked like the RB all the hype was
saying about him all summer up until he hurt his neck on his lone scoring run of the season. Yay.
Cam was miserable against the tough Arizona D, and of course Megatron was a game time decision that sent me scrambling to
pick up a WR. Miserable day for the JnJ team. English weathered what was arguably his most serious bye-storm, getting a
decent day from Chris Johnson, 21 from the younger Manning bro, and a nice stick in the flex slot for 14 rounded out a win.

Kentucky English 78
Joique and Jaquizz 57

The Girl was back and forth about which QB to play. She chose poorly, as she had a certain Dallas QB on her bench that stood toe
to toe with the elder Manning Bro. There was very little else for the Girl to be happy about with Arian putting up a measly (for him) 11
against SF, and her lone other double digit starting position being her flex with a nice choice of Cobb. Sadly, she had enough on her bench
to win. For Jackhammer, Rice was finally steamed enough to get into the form he was expected to have from the start. A solid outing by
Brees, Knowshon, Davis and Decker, and 14 points from his KC Kicker added up to a respectable 119 points.

Jackhammer 119
You Got Beat By A Girl 64

Aaron Rogers had an unusually slow day putting up 17 points after Det rolled over for the Pack. Decent showings by Graham and Shorts were
all that lit up the scoreboard for The Badgers, who could only tally 67 points. P-Mann did it again in the Sunday night shooting match, spreading
the ball thinner than the meat on a subway sub and scoring 41 points in the process. 18 points from Romo's goto man Witten and just decent days from
the rest of his team were all the Dudes needed to achieve the W for the week and secure the high score for the week with 125.

Socal Geodudes 125
The Honey Badgers 69

The Jabronis had a good day from Rivers, a good day from his D (looked very good part of the day due to a strange scoring glitch in
the website software....) and 14 from his K, but there was no more scoring love in his lineup, leaving him a little flat against the Daggers,
who's team was not impacted by the 4 byes on his bench. JaaaMaaal scored 18 and DeSean scored 19 to lead the way and all but akers
and Tavon Austin scored a decent day to total 98 points and a 20 point win.

Dakota Daggers 98
Stoney's Jabronis 78

There had to be some hand-wringing going on in Vermont during the Monday Night game, as it came down to a handful of points with the
only position playing in the matchup the Falcons D. The Squad should have stayed at the Hilton, who put up a career 26 points on the day
while sitting on the Squad's bench. The Vermonters had enough points on the bench to beat JnJ. I don't want to talk about it. Saintly Brees
was indeed saintly this week - with his bench scoring the same 99 points as his starters! That is a solid lineup by any measure.

Saintly Brees 99
The Todd Squad 95

After 5 weeks its still a ballgame, with our leaders the Dudes and the Daggers both enjoying a 4 and 1 record. Three teams are at 3 and 2, and three more at 2 and 3.
Even at 1 and 4 as two teams have tallied, there are enough games on the schedule to make a stand.

Injuries are starting to make a difference in some lineups, so make sure you watch the injury report. I like the Rotoworld injury hotline - it is updated in nearly real time.

Once again, nice write up. :)

I put my kicker, Prater/Den, on the bench and instead started Novak/SD. Had heard that Prater had a calf issue and was worried that might minimize his ability to kick. Sigh. Novak scored only 4, Prater scored 15.

Ohhh, i don't want to hear it SB! lol. :D

As Andy mentioned, i left some big-time points on the bench this week.

Can't win 'em all, i guess. orrr, in my case, more than one. ;)

yeah, an early round up!

don't think I can take credit for this week, I think Andy lost more then i won, very unlucky this week it looked like.

Some of my injured are back and starting to pay off but I have some decisions to make for the upcoming week. For instance, will Alex Smith KC put up better numbers against Oakland than Brees against the Pats? Decisions, decisions! I hate it, I love it!

Leave both of them on the bench and ave yourself the stress, you'll be find without a quarterback "promise" :p

Thanks for the advice Pete. Of course I'm wondering if it's not influenced by the fact that you and I go head to head this week.
