JK FFL 2014 Weeky Wrap-ups

yep, close call on Monday night alright, thought the hammer might end up beating me on bench points

thanks for the write up again, Andy, great job as always!

Good write-up!

Yeah, I never know which QB to play, it has burned me a few weeks. Had I played Rodgers, I believe I would have won...:(

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Who knew the Beast would be contained and the Giants would sleep. At least my MNF QB made it interesting.

He did have a good night - he looked confident, and it came down to the last drive too. Did you know he has never lost a MNF game ?

Didn't know that. I think I'm resting him this week considering his opponent. Gambling that Hoyer will put up better numbers, after all it worked with Vereen last night.

I sure do miss my Weekly Wrap-Up! Andy! Are you ok! You need to fix your line-up (or is there a trade pending?)

I miss it too, I think work must of come a callin' again, poo thing's working himself to death. I'd asked about a trade but hadn't heard back, but that's true every week, of most everybody :D

Sorry guys - yes - I have been travelling!

I am not able to correspond as quickly, so trades are slow to materialize. I have never been much good at trades either.

Wrap up follows.

Hi Folks - I am travelling again this week, so finally here is the week 7 wrap up -

Marshall Mathers had a good week, with a breakout game from Russell Wilson and good production from Olson, Garcon and Torrey Smith (a great flex option!) all adding up to an even hundy. The Todd Squad had a very disappointing week with only 4 points from his QB, the lowest I can remember and especially concerning since the player was not injured etc. A couple of eggs from Alshon and Tim Wright, and only two from his flex all added up to a 55 point day and his third loss of the season.

Marshall Mathers 100

The Steelers were looking good going into MNF, needing only a measly 3 points for the win. Unfortunately, 2 was all he could muster. In fact, the entire backfield of the steelers only scored 4 points. Nice! Welcome to the loser bin. Saintly Brees scored a "just enough" 74 points to steal the win from the steelers. Rest assured I was watching the game and said shucks and darn a lot. ;^)

Saintly Brees 74

In the battle of the toothy rodents, it was the wood chewers that felled the opponent this week. The Beave's get solid points from Luck, and a top notch WR lineup and just decent production from most of the rest of the line-up contributed to 90 points, just enough to post an 8 point win over the bunny, who had the customary nice day from Brees, and Lacy got his, Joique was decent and Benjamin was also there, but a zed from the Seahawks D and light production from DeSean, Kelce, the flex all added up to a tight loss. Odell had enough on the bench to post the win, but how can you put in Odell over Jackson? This game is full of frustration!

No Ordinary Rabbit 82
The Bucky Beavers 90

The Daggers are riding two good QBs and steady production in the lineup to nice wins, with Brady finally looking good for a decnet 24 points this week. 22 from the workhorse forte and good production from his WR staff added up to a nice 102 points and a win against the Badgers, who got 26 from Rogers, who has not been playing in the 4th quarter of late. Good if you are a packers fan, not so good if you Bradshaw had a good day riding the bench, as did Trent Richardson, which would have helped. Easy for me to say!

The Honey Badgers 83
The Dakota Daggers 102

With all of his eggs in the Denver basket, the fearless Jabronis post another high score for the week at 128 largely on the outstanding production of his three broncos. It almost doesn't matter what the other positions do - a nice problem to have!
Jackhammer put up 84, with the highlight being a great pop from Shane Vereen in the flex spot. Hoyer continues to disappoint, and there was no beast in Marshawn this week, meaning that the Jabronis go on to a league best 6-1 while the Hammers drop to 1-6. Hang in there, Hammer, I am making a run for you .....

Jackhammer 84
Stoney's Jabronis 128

Thanks again - I will do my best to reply to trade requests - I have put in for one of the available RB's too fill the slot that is empty.

No worries Andy, I look forward to the round up but I only joke about impatience, trades included. I'm willing to fill in if ever you need, work is hell, someone said once

FYI, seahawks, Jackson and TE's man, there gonna kill me :)

You have this notion of not letting me best you on trades so I give up.

Hey now, I try my best to get taken advantage of ;)

Wrapping up week eight with a low score contender.

The Steelers could not get an RB in the lineup for the weekend despite trying hard! I hooked up Reggie Bush, who went from Q to D to O very quickly, then tried to offer up a trade and that did not go through until after the game had started. So, I wound up with a complete failure by Cam Newton, one huge point from Gerhart, Nelson could only muster 2 points....At least one player was Golden, scoring a team leading 21 points. The Jackammer is seeing Arian Foster show his old form, and Cobb had a nice long td, and his QB doubled up my position for 16 points. DAH!!! Now I have to scramble to get a WR and D for the weekend. I love this game. NOT.

In another lop-sided matchup, the Eminems also fell prey to a bad day by stars, but at least he got 21 from his Fins D, and 10 from the Colts K, but too many singles and deuces added up to 62 points and an L against the marauding Daggers, who enjoyed over 20 points from three players with a very strong RB crew and a great day from Antonio Brown, and 16 points from the Vikings D? Really? Some guys can do no wrong. I can only guess it is as frustrating to have Foles on your bench as it is to have Cam Newton in your lineup. Ugh.

Marshall Mathers 62
Dakota Daggers 138

The Beavers gave it a run against the Jabs, but once again it was just too much Denver when Luck runs out. Even with a great 32 from her QB, the rest of the lineup was just there, and even with a 90 point tally, it was not enough. The Jabs are getting their points from Denver, but it helps to have Maclin score 30 out of the flex, and now Vick is back.

Bucky Beavers 90
Stoney's Jabronis 110

In a tight, high scoring matchup, the Squad did all they could to matchup with the Wabbit but in the end the Brees blew, Ivory Breezed, Desean scored and Lacey was a ton to score 109 points. Williams gae it a run for the Squad and it was nice to see Jamaal score a good day again, but in the end it was too much rodent to overcome.

Todd Squad 96
No Ordinary Rabbit 109

In the good lord can I have some of those points category, the Badgers put up 147 points to best the Brees, who "only" put up 111 points. Gronk, Rogers and Sanders combined for over 90 points even though the Saintlys fielded a very good team, save for the one lone goose egg. Can't fault a team for anything if they put up 111 points.

Saintly Brees 111
The Honey Badgers 147

Great job folks - now I go shopping for players.

Second week in a row I've been watching the cowboys hoping Romo doesn't throw it to someone, last week it was dez, this week it was wiliams, i'm almost getting tired of watching them :)

nice wrap up's, Andy, thanks again,

P.s, if you want to cancel the trade, just say, sorry it didn't go through in time,

Foster did me well but the Beast seems to be in a holding pattern, though interestingly his point totals for the last 3 weeks also happen to be his calling card; 6-6-6.

Double post.

And ya know, I felt I needed everyone one of those points against Saintly Brees this week, cause his team did well enough to beat just about every other team's score. All hail Gronk! (I just hope he stays healthy)
