JK gift exchange

Jacob,

I tried out some of Ray's Polish Fire last night. That's some gooood stuff! Its a lot different than the hot sauces we have down here. In the south, hotter means better to most folks. A lot of it is basically edible pepper spray.

But, Ray's sauce is actually tasty and flavorful. I like it a lot. Now ill be using on just about everything! Thanks again bud.

I got my box today and I'm not ashamed to say I opened it. It's been a long past week or two and opening this really made my week.

The streamlight will replace the one my wife stole out of my glove compartment and I put the holster to a slightly different use. This is the flashlight holster that has been on my duty belt, my wife bought me a very nice Bianchi basketweave one but until it gets here the one that was sent is a lifesaver.

There were some other items not pictured. Also I'm guessing the Craftsman piece has a purpose but I will be honest I am completely ignorant as to what it might do?

Is it hollow on the other side with a small bump in the middle? A small "lip" in the hollow part near the hole/handle? If so, its a bottle opener.

I have one but it has a full size Craftsman wrench handle.

I think your 100% spot on now that I look at it[emoji12], I am allowed a couple times a year where I can be slow, I claim this as one of them.

I like the looks of the little marking knife to the right of the cap lifter -- very cool!

Received my gift yesterday and just wanted to say thank you. I believe it was from glennbad. A small collection of traditional knives. Some really interesting knives here, 6 in total, and I'll post some thoughts on them when I get a picture loaded. Plenty of clean up and sharpening to keep me busy which will have to wait until after I'm moved. The Camillus 72 whittler is definitely getting some pocket time.

Guilty as charged. Hope you enjoy them!

A box has arrived :), on my way out to work. I'll get to check it out in the morning and will post a few pics!

Thanks Santa Vik!

somebody was really excited!

My daughter just had to give him one.
If anyone doesn't know pugs, they go crazy for treats

Wow, a JK! The little leather bag the flea collar came in will work cool for my Ren Fest outings.

My daughter popping the bubble wrap discovered 2 lanyards I missed the first time

My second Opinel, I promised my daughter to add to her collection for when she is older. (Yes I am building her a small collection of stuff, so she is ready to go ;) )

thanks again Santa Vik

A very rare JK, called The Original. Part of a limited run of the very first knife I ever made, looks like one of my sheaths too.

it's one of the totally unmarked ones - IIRC, the scales are Ipe - and yes, it's one of your sheaths.
the ziplok bag is cinnamon shortbread -- I figured if the pup is getting treats, so should the kiddo. :)
you also need to look inside the flea collar tin - it's not a flea collar.

:o:eek:

I should have known but with other doggie related things did not realize there were goodies inside the tin.
I got to open a present with in a present :D

thanks again Santa Vik

PS my daughter said "Lets go camping and I can roast marshmallows "

the little one?
also - i have to apologize/confess.
there was supposed to be a chunk of coal in the box, too, but I found it on the table when I got home from mailing the box.
that way you would have had something for the boy who doesn't like camping. heh.

That would have been good! He's always wanting to stay inside. my dad has a fishing camp down by the bay and invited us out, he doesn't want to go but she is really wanting to go and bring our tent instead of using his cabin.

I thought it would have been a bit warm for Santa in Texas, but who am I to question the guy?
Now, on to the booty!

I have always wanted to give Condor Knives a shot, but couldn't figure out where to start. Guess I know now!
- The Rodan lands right in the size range that I prefer for hanging around the fire and camp with, so it will see much usage!
-The (red though my camera lies and shows it as pink) Utility Knife will be accompanying the Misses to work, so that will see use 3+ days a week.
-Two of the gifts actually tookthings away from what the Misses was going to get me, the Insulated cup and the Shamagh (that everything is displayed on) were both going be under the tree, but not now!
-The snacks are Great, especially the Bison bar (which was opened prior to, and finished during the putting away of everything)
-The smaller stuff consists of a magnet for the fridge, a key chain of hand cut gemstones that make up a globe, a lanyard, playing cards with special graphics, a normal sized coozi, and a tiny (I thought everything was bigger in texas, lol) rubber mouse

Also (non-pictured) there was a jar of Cherry and Blueberry fruit spread that is Absolutely Fantastic, both myself and my 2 year old Love it!
And a non-locking climbing rated carabiner, not in the photo because it went onto my keys immediately! This is a nice change from the Petzl Ball lock that I was using as my key holder.
-I always have a weight rated carabiner on me along with a micro figure 8 and weight rated rope in my car, as well as some paracord for lashing, or emergencies.

Are there any stories behind the mouse?

Thank you Mr. Santa! Everything either was already, will continue to be or will be thoroughly enjoyed in short order!

I opened my secret santa package this weekend. Got some excellent goodies! The gloves I put right to work, they're great. The spoon I believe the sender made himself from a tree that he cut down on his property. Of course, the dandy is the JK B&T blank. Can't wait to do something with this. Thanks!

nice haul - both of you!
the rodan is an interesting knife - it's a lot lighter than it looks like it should be, but the handle is solid polypropylene, so if you don't like the shape, it can be sanded/filed.
(I had its big brother, the Kumunga, for a while)

since the box I sent has been received, I feel it's safe to open mine, now.

Thanks, Santa!
