JK gift exchange

Glad you enjoy the items, the fruit spread is our favorite though there is a 4 berry they make that is very good also. The little mouse was added by my daughter from her stash of things, I think she had gotten it on Halloween.

Here is a picture, hope it turns out ok. I got a haul of knives from glennbad and here they are. Up top are some awls and punches, you can't see the one that looks like a giant dentist pick but that is probably my favorite one.

The top knife is a Camillus electricians knife is really cool. That thing is a tank and was going to go into my tool area but I have really taken to it and might sit in a knife case for keeping just like it is. Next is the SAK, nice knife and I'm sure it will come in handy several times. Third knife down is a rather large Rough Rider, doctors model. Fourth down is a Bulldog dogleg trapper, the knife is really incredible. I love the half stops and the pulls on the blades, I'm not sure about the locks sitting proud when the blade is open but a real gem nonetheless. Fifth down we have the Camillus whittler 72. Superb knife that has already spent some time in my pocket. It hasn't cut much as I need to show it some sharpening time, probably tonight or tomorrow but is already a favorite of mine. All three blades are really interesting, hopefully I can find different uses for each one. The bottom knife is a Old Timer 330T in the 1095 carbon. I really enjoy the color of the steel on this knife. The main blade almost looks like it has a bluing effect going on.

Certainly some treasures in my gift package from Santa. My fingernails were all pretty sore from all the opening and closing I gave been doing. I will definitely be giving these traditionals a good work out. It was also fun to hear glennbad had spent some time at the KI Sawyer airforce base which is right in my area and where my dad works since the change over from military to a civilian area. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts.

Emails have been sent to the two "Secret Santas" whose recipients have not got their gifts. I want to be sure nothing is lost in the mail.

I got mine and want to say thank you again to my "Santa" and John for making this so much fun. Best wishes to everyone for a happy and safe holiday.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

I have heard back from one of them, package shipped today. Have not heard anything from the other.

You did a great job and hit many nails on the head, merry Christmas to all & happy new year!

I hope you don't mind the electricians knife that I modded. The cap lifter works great and pops caps quickly and oddly seems eager to do so.
Please keep in mind that the main will patina quick, and dark so keep it oiled or it will rust prior to being established.

Have fun with the fat wood too, I have plenty harvested, so enjoy.

I don't know if there is a Misses in the picture, so to be safe, I included something for her.

I like it a lot, beautiful patina already developing on the blade, pull on the cap lifter is strong! You did that? Very cool! Thanks for the fat wood, first ive had not store bought, smells great nice & dry. I'm looking forward to playing with it & the lighter! Thanks for everything

That modified electrician is really cool. I enjoy the one I got as part of this exchange and was interested as soon as I saw that knife. Looks like you got some good stuff there. Thanks again for putting this on hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
